Great Company and People, lacks stability

      Pros

The people that you will be working with are some of the nicest co-workers you could hope for, from different backgrounds and experiences. There is a lot of movement in the company, if you show initiative and professionalism there is a lot of opportunity for career development.

      Cons

The company is top heavy with VP's and senior management. The decisions these people are making have an impact on a lot of people, these decisions have been very questionable lately.

      Pros

Great people, great product, travel the world, work is exciting and fun.

      Cons

! the culture has changed to take from the employee's and give to the portland senior management team. the senior team continues to fly 1st class no matter how broke the company is. they have done nothing but take from the employee, longevity bonus', 401k, the company can't survive with the current management. they spend millions trying to sell a/c while the operations dept pays for it. then when operations get slow they have to cut back and lay off. Who moves a corporate office 300 miles from it's core? they really have no clue what makes Erickson Air Crane tick! nor do they seem to want to.

      Pros

Look to other heavy lift operations like Columbia for pros.

      Cons

Senior management is short on talent and vision. Pay equity doesn't exist. Directors make six figures while the employees who hold the company together struggle.

A tragic example of a bad example in Corporate America

      Pros

The working level is unmatched in their care for clients and each other. The S-64 product is a unique one in the industry.

      Cons

Management seems to want to inflate the company on long shot hopes, for a quick cash out. Hope is a poor strategy, and when it fails, it fails on the backs of the working level employees and existing clients. Senior management assumes no personal responsibility for failure.
