    Great to work with lots of nationalities on different projects. Great scope for shaping your career

    Cons

    Long days and sometimes lots of travel. A lot of customer exposure which can be very challenging

    Pros

    Agile environment using scrum ceremonies
    Some cutting edge technology including Kafka, Apache spark, zookeeper, hadoop.
    Great investment in training, courses available constantly.
    Innovation is encouraged and expected

    Cons

    Some managers are still stuck in command and control mode.
    Other managers foster then and us attitude, rather than collaborative
    Some work is 'make work' generated to keep other departments in business rather than servicing customer needs

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of departments and practices and ways of working that don't benefit the customer

    Flexible working hours, working from home, training for competence development.

    Low pay, not many perks at work. Individual performance not always taking into account during salary review.

    Worked in many, diverse project and traveled extensively. Worked with many technologies, third party providers and customers

    Cons

    The management would pitch peers against each other to try to get the best people but without the incentive when successful

    Advice to Management

    To work together as a team - most of the time it's not individual who fail but the organisation using the wrong resources for the job

    well balance life in Ericsson LMI Athlone, well appreciation from the management. information channel well established from top management to engineers

    Good internal knowledge repositiories/courses to help upskill
    Flexible work conditions - work from home etc.

    Lot of emphasis on keeping utilisation figures high (travel)

    Advice to Management

    Can't offer any advice - line managers on the whole mean well, but are restricted on how much they can help their direct reports, due to restrictive HR policy, especially around pay.
