    Pros

Very friendly team of employees, office managers are great and there was never a time I felt uncomfortable. Great location in West Chester, walking distance to many different restaurants and other shops. Company parties are great and you really feel like part of a family.

    Cons

A little behind the curve as far as technology is concerned, I found many areas where this could be improved.

    Advice to Management

Put a larger emphasis on staying with the ever growing trends in technology and A/V solutions, and allow more room for growth for non-engineer employees.

Benefits are not the best and you get to work extra hours. Sometimes you wouldd need to work over weekends

    Advice to Management

I worked at Erin Engineering and Research as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good hourly wage for an intern, small office environment with nice, hardworking people. They worked to give me interesting tasks that were relevant to the work they were doing in the office, and actually relied on me for results. I got to know everyone in the office pretty well, and they were all very pleasant and helpful. The work/life balance was pretty good, I would say they average work week there was between 40 and 45 hours.

    Cons

The usual minor cons of working in a pretty small office setting. Not as much variety as working in a larger, more diverse office.

I have been working at Erin Engineering and Research full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Staff is friendly and nice. Great annual party and get-togethers. Flexible hours and work schedule. Excellent Benefits.

    Cons

High expectations and limited support to employees. Very high demand on getting work done with limited resources. Both management and employees are overwhelmed at times. Company has taken a downward trajectory and seems though everyone is expected to do more with less. You will be expected to do every bit of work and will probably spend more than 40 hours week completing tasks. If you don't, then it gets highlighted in your performance review...which means no bonuses or raises. About a year ago the CEO himself said that "folks can't be running at a hundred-miles an hour", yet things have not improved.

Pay is decent but does not commensurate with the recent upturn in the economy. Furthermore, most employees are expected to do more with less and sometimes spend additional hours outside of work to get things done, you are not compensated for overtime in these cases.

Company culture has seriously gone downhill. I can't remember the last time the folks in this office actually took a lunch break and spent time to do fun office things (i.e, Halloween party).

This is not a company for young newbies and definitely requires prior training and knowledge to be successful here.

    Advice to Management

Please Please, change the admin attitude in Walnut Creek. Admin staff in Walnut Creek are very demanding, unprofessional, and seem entitled at times.

Try updating outdated system for organization and project management. More supportive structure for employees to get work done on realistic budgets and time frames. Try putting together a better strategy on how things can get done, specially across different offices, instead of telling employees to "just do it". Try providing support and help on difficult projects. Most importantly, stop overburdening your managers and project engineers so that they can provide help, feedback, and encouragement to lower staff.
