    Pros

Easy to work your way up, lots of specialties, looks
    good on your resume.

Managers can be difficult to work with, no staff loyalty or appreciation, hospital only cares about how they are viewed by other in the community.
Will do anything to make themselves look better.

I have been working at Erlanger Health System full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with a diverse community. The children hospital is small and allows for skill development in several areas of pediatrics. (ie. cardiac, ortho, oncology)

    Cons

Upper level management does not understand the need of adequate staffing to provide safe care.

    Advice to Management

Value your staff and maybe there would not be such high turn over rates

    Pros

    Cons

Management across the board; does not care about the working force of the organization that hold the place together

    Advice to Management

get out there and see what really goes on in the day to day operation of the business; quit looking at just numbers, SEE THE PATIENT!; recognize and admit that the "little man" might know what he's talking about!

I worked at Erlanger Health System full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Payroll deduction for car insurance

    Cons

There is no cohesiveness among staff. Pettiness and clicks are evident. There is a BIG LACK OF COMMUNICATION. The pay is ridiculous 11.18 thats if you're an emt, ma, first responder for nights and shift diff. You may get close to 11.30. So dont worry about the experience you may have. The 11.18 is across the board. Other hospitals i interviewed with laughed and shook their heads at the pay.
A break doesn't exists just eat when you can. Always short staffed. Felt bad for nurses and paramedics at times. The manager over everyone never knew what was going on half of the time. She was more worried about what she can catch you doing instead of asking what can help to fix a issue. No moral what so ever.

    Advice to Management

Get real charge nurses that care and have a good bedside manner. The ones thats there has nasty attitudes.
