    Father participants who want to be better in life as a man and a father. You feel as if you have made a difference in the lives of the men and their children. Family atmosphere.

    Grant funded so you may run into funding issues that may reduce hours or staffing

    Pros

    I have a set schedule, opportunities to pick up additional shifts and trade with other nurses as needed. very flexible!

    Cons

    The patient population is a tough group sometimes so that has been an adjustment. Sometimes the turnover for patients is quick so discharging and admitting can become a huge part of your day.

    Pros

    Clients are great, opportunity to meet peers who are like-minded and want to serve in mental health.

    Cons

    Eskenazi and Midtown do not share the same culture and values. Midtown management promotes a culture of negativity which leads to constant write-ups and massive amounts of turnover.

    Advice to Management

    Look into educating yourselves on up-to-date management practices and HR laws.

    I worked at Eskenazi Health as a contractor

    Pros

    Parking is paid for. Excellent direct supervisors and co-workers. Very nice facility and working conditions.

    Cons

    Non-Smoking campus. Sketchy neighborhood to be in if you work at night. Upper management tends to change their mind with a whim to save money, and seems disconnected from the needs of the IT department.

    Advice to Management

    If you offer someone full time employment, don't pull the rug out of them with two days notice until you have to go looking for a new job!!

    Friendly and professional front line staff

    Cons

    Leadership unhelpful, very political administration and leadership

    Advice to Management

    Clean house and really review performance management and accountability of managers and directors as front line staff are held to, including administration's real engagement and focus to do the right thing for patient's safety and satisfaction icluding front line staff retention tactics.
