I have been working at Esker full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great management who listen to employees and value feedback no matter the position you're in. Have lots of parties Great work/play balance

    Cons

Somewhat of a sink or swim environment/mentality - If you're a self starter and easily teachable you will be fine.

I have been working at Esker full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great employee benefits and work/life balance - Small enough to get recognition and remove the bureaucracy yet big enough to have cutting edge technology and work with Fortune 500 customers - Many of the comments speak to how it is such a great place to work but it also a great place to build a career. Once you've earned it, the company is willing and able to invest in its employees.

    Cons

    - New hire training for entry level positions has been a weakness in the past, they've since created a training position here in the US which speaks to the company's committed development. - The US is expected to grow at significant rates despite having an R&D team only in France.

    Advice to Management

Really nothing, this is a phenomenal company to work for with a very healthy outlook in the market.

    I worked at Esker full-time

    Pros

The company care about it employees and wants them to be happy. The work-life balance is second to none and generally everyone is very relaxed. Co-workers were friendly and wanted you to do well. Generally, a low-stress environment to work and easy to leave your work at home when you left for the day. If you're looking for somewhat interesting work, relaxed culture, and low-stress it's a terrific place. If you're looking...

    Cons

The work wasn't that exciting and corporate management made peculiar choices in how they incentivized various departments - generally it lacked coordination. For a company of it's maturity, you'd hope for more process and coordination between parts of the business. However, since the culture was relaxed it wasn't a tremendous issue. Many of the employees have been there for decades, especially in management, and fresh...

    I worked at Esker full-time

    Pros

-Very laid back place. However it is so laid back that professionalism is borderline acceptable. -Free coffee

    Cons

-IT Department is very "clicky" as well as management. If you don't fit in you will find yourself terminated for no reason out of the blue. -Heard management degrade and make fun of people for their wight and sexual orientation. -Micromanaging -Job roles and expectations never clearly defined. -No job training or coaching for where you might have a job weakness. -Everyone seems to frequently enjoy alcohol during...

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. Even if you do not like them personally but yet they perform their jobs. Have better communication and help give advice where you see problem areas. Stop seeing people as expendable and easily replaced.

    I worked at Esker full-time

    Pros

Regular work happy hours and social events. Great office space in convenient west side location. In general, positive coworkers with willingness to help and collaborate. Travel opportunities, if desired.

    Cons

The political game is fierce and it's important to align yourself accordingly. Benefits and flexibility of hours/pay/raises are favored to the inner circle. While a it's nice to have a social culture, this also fosters a lot of internal gossip and cliches.

    Advice to Management

Get onboarding programs in place - ramp up should not feel like sink-or-swim for entry level positions. Treat employees fairly. Not everyone has the same circumstance, but there should not be so much of a divide when it comes to benefits and flexible schedules.
