I worked at Essai full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Co-workers! Nice building in Phoenix.

    Cons

The Owners and their Management is the worst I have ever seen in all my years in the Semi conductor business. Women stay far away from this company. Women are not treated good at all. Men receive all the praise for your work. Demoralizing management.

    Advice to Management

All the management needs to be fired.

I have been working at Essai full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Would like to say that working for Essai has been a great challenge! I love working here as I am learning so much about manufacturing. Our management here gives opportunity after opportunity, they may not tell you everyday of how much they believe in you but they deffinitly show you in raises and making you a permanent employee. I would recommend this job to new engineers and people that generally want to excel in a great company!

    Cons

The company doesn't offer free snacks or coffee but hey... does any company do this except for google and these great big corporations...

    Advice to Management

Continue to motivate your employees to do the best they can by showing and telling them more often!

    I worked at Essai full-time

    Pros

    1. One of a very few companies who is willing to give newly grads and inexperience people like me a chance to start their career when many others will only seek experienced workers. However, often times we will be job hopping to get more experience from different companies. This somewhat contributes to the company's high turn-over.
    2. One of a very few places where the owner will come down to the production line and work with employees
    3. You will always be giving chances if you learn from your mistakes and do better.
    4. Great colleagues

    Cons

    1. The company only hires people through temporary agency
    2. Lack of company events
    3. Pay can be improved

    Advice to Management

Perks to encourage employee's retention and longevity. Education reimbursement might be nice

    Pros

    Nothing good about this company...

    Cons

This company is owned by Iranians and they have no respect for their worker and they pay their Sr. Programmers $10 above minimum wages or $25. They don't have 200 employees rather maybe 35. What kind of people pay their Sr. programmer $25 tops when they can get $40 to $45 an hour. Owners are shady and management don't worth nothing. Don't apply to Essai or you be sorry. Worse company by far and they should take it back to Iran!!!

    Advice to Management

Stop been cheap and get yourself better management. This is not Iran rather you doing business in USA so start acting like it.

I worked at Essai full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

the young folks that unfortunately get hired here can be fun and great people

    Cons

    lack of parking spots
    lack of kitchen amenities
minimal benefits 3 months after you become full time
culture is to save every penny possible
people come and go within months, usually voluntarily. employee turnover rate is high.
it might be better to be unemployed
    low pay
    bathrooms are disgusting
    micromanagement all around

The HR department is bad. Stay away at all costs.

    Advice to Management

overhaul the entire management to rebuild the company culture if you want to retain any form of talent there.

isn't it better to invest in people so you don't have to spend money rehiring over and over?

    Pros

The colleagues were very pleasant to work with. Great experience on resource/knowledge sharing within the team. Met a lot of professional and respectable people in essai. Learned a lot there too. If you want to learn something, passionate on whatever you are going to do, go to essai. You will have fun there. But if you prefer easy money, you may want to move on to other opportunities.

    Cons

Process was not very mature or missing. Relay on the individuals self-motivation / awareness. Some important steps may be missing without process or detail documentation.

    Advice to Management

Process and documentation have room for improvement.
