I worked at Essel Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Professional thief. Made up employment offer

    Cons

They are that, cons. Target people looking for job, offering you a job and made you deposit fake check to get your own money out for them.

    Advice to Management

You need to quit now and stop hurting other people before the long arm of the law get to you. I reported you to every law enforcement agency that will take the information.

  2. "Time to mobilize against this company. Should not be allowed to do business!!"

I have been working at Essel Group full-time

    Pros

There are no positives or "pros" in which I associate with this company. If arrogance can be perceived as a "pro" than I cautiously assign that trait to Essel and with caution; because it is their arrogance that will eventually bring them down!

    Cons

Business practices are deplorable and a disgrace.

    Advice to Management

If these people who are guilty of scamming people using the Essel name do not actually work for the company, it would behoove the Essel Group to take the lead in abating this problem of engaging in fraudulent behavior.

    Pros

There are no pros that I found.

    Cons

This is a scam. "Worked" for 3 days. was over-nighted a verified corporate check. Was very concerned of the process but played along. I talked with an account manager and explained was was going on & that I thought it was a scam. I deposited it into a designated account & watched it. The contact at Essel Group assured me that it was a valid check, and to deposit it through a Citi bank ATM. He wanted me to to use the funds to purchase operating supplies, and I told him I wouldn't until the check fully cleared. The day after it was deposited I verify with the bank that the check was indeed not good. Needless to say there has been no contact from them after the day after the check was deposited, which was the day I confirmed it was a scam.

    Advice to Management

Watch who is using y=the company name.

I have been working at Essel Group (More than a year)

    Pros

Some time no hierarchy, some time all are bosses. Salary on time, perfect human resources team. Good welfare for employee.

    Cons

Lot of favoritism, Zero value for performance. communication with management is only formalities. Lot of corruption every where junior level to mid level. No one to here complain or suggestion.

    Advice to Management

Please investigate about corrupt people including EA. It's harmful to organisation and employees also. Corruption flows from TOP to bottom. Please clean the TOP. Management's vision is pure but they are unaware about truth and there is no way to understand from last level.

I worked at Essel Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has very few pros, which I am listing here:
    - Very common and known brand name, normally people know by Zee
    - Daily free snacks after 7:30 PM
    - Lunch will be offered if you work on Saturday else low compensation
    - 7 Days Paternity leaves(Only found in Ebex)
    - You get a better designation easily.
    - On time salary credit, on every last day of the month
    - You will get a full cream, milk coffee or tea here
    - You may get a chance to see or meet the chairman
    - Car purchase assitance of some amount depending on your grade

    Cons

Unfortunately the cons list is little on up side, and these are:
    - Hiding their own identity(Ebex) and using the group name because of that candidate at least come for interview, you won't find their own company website.
    - No cab services or transportation arrangement or reimbursement
    - No Flexi basket concept here
    - No work from home
    - Very stringent attendance, leaves and holiday policy
    - Mobiles are strictly not allowed on the floor
    - Every conversation over the office phone is recorded
    - Very high influence of Hinduism and politics, you won't get company holidays if you are Muslim or Christian or Sikh
    - Every employee is a manager here, you will be scolded by your immediate manager or joiner (who are older in organization), that you don't know how to work, or why we hired yo, you know nothing
    - Slapping, use of bad words and double meaning Hindi words is very common on the floor, even the department heads use the abusive languages in the meetings
    - No respect for women, they do have policies, but it just a policy. It is not a good place to work for women
    - Annual salary appraisal is far below industry standards
    - Hire and fire policy, if they found you are working better than your manager
    - If you came from good organization, I would recommend do not join, else as you wish
    - Highest level of difference in your promised role during interview than your actual work
    - No company provided parking, parking is only for M4 or above bands
    - No tea or chat break you took or spent time in the cafeteria, it's against the code of business conduct
    - There is no proper canteen only 2 coffee machines were there
    - Office boy is only for heads
    - Upper management of this company sucks, no visibility, no vision, no business guideline, nothing I would call them as professional

    Advice to Management

Close down this company if you want to same corores in the year to come, the vision that our chairman have, cannot be fulfilled as there were lots of financial discrepancies in the vendor invoice payment and in commercial procurement
