I have been working at Essentia Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They are trying catch up to industry peers

    Cons

Top heavy, inconsistent in the markets, lack of compliance program, low performers rewarded

    Advice to Management

Merit based increases based on performance. Where is your compliance team, do we have a compliance department?

I worked at Essentia Health full-time

    Pros

They do give you flex time 2 hours to use every two weeks for appointments.

    Cons

Management is terrible, The supervisor, is horrible. Everyone reports on everyone, you must go to management to tell someone if something is wrong, there is no support inter department, it falls all on the Team lead who is over worked. The 401K they do not match. The supervisor is on a hunt for drones to be able to work for her. Input is not welcome, because they are always prevented from changing things to help out the patients. People go through that department like a revolving door.

    Pros

    Awesome people to work with!

    Cons

Sometimes heavy assignments and no extra bodies picking up shifts because our over time is not valued. Pick-up shifts start at $8 extra per hour.

I have been working at Essentia Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

decent benefits, rewards in caring for patients

    Cons

radically understaffed and expected to take on more continually

    Advice to Management

hire more people instead of expecting staff to do more and more and more with less resources ("resilience" is needed by overworked employees, not employees who are treated fairly... find "joy" at work? not when 50-60 hr workweek is the norm)

    Pros

Loved working for them! Loved my manager. I was a full-time nursing student at the time (before I moved) and my manager was so easy to work with when needing time off to study/work my other job!

    Cons

I don't have any cons that I can think of.

I worked at Essentia Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I experience a very positive work environment. I can not say enough wonderful things about the doctors and nurses I worked with.

    Cons

Floating to other floors would be the biggest con, but it is necessary for staffing purposes. It was never a fun experience, other floors expect you know how they run.
