Great place to work! Love the benefits!

    Pros

They have a 6% 401k match, excellent matching benefits on their employee share program, unlimited vacation, and lots of friendly faces. I also love their commitment to the environment; they have water stations all over(instead of selling water in plastic), and their food utensils in the cafe are made from paper and recycled materials.

    Cons

Like any publicly traded company, profit comes first and employees are incentivized to drive profits. Bonuses are tied to company performance.

    Pros

The industry is consolidating, and practices are left with few choices in the wholesale space. EssilorLuxottica gets plenty of business by default. Direct deposit.

    Cons

Offshoring production will increase turnaround time, with no benefit to patients. Management once sent me a directive to outsource my own job. I didn't do that.

    Another Round Of Layoffs

    Pros

Leader in Industry Benefits on par with location Stock purchase plan

    Cons

Leadership in turmoil as infighting of former CEO’s of ESSILOR (H. Sagnieres) and Luxottica (L. Del Vecchio) for control. More than one year after merger, still no (new) global CEO. Inability to hit cost targets has lead to more (Dec 2019) layoffs in the US In order to contribute to cost targets by shedding longer term experienced talent in favor of “new”, inexperienced (lower comp) hires.
