I have been working at Estée Lauder Companies full-time

    Pros

Smart, engaging people ... great benefits ... has the intimacy of a family company with the breadth of a multi-national corporation ...

    Cons

Can be a bit hard to get promoted or move around within the company because people stay in coveted roles for a long time ... the salary isn't as high as other companies but I think that the impressive benefits package helps offset that point.

I worked at Estée Lauder Companies as a contractor

    Pros

Great company! I have worked in the beauty industry for 20+ years.....on and off with Estee Lauder Companies in different capacities including Cosmetic sales, Prestige Counter Manager, Beauty Advisor - seasonal and most recent Freelance Makeup Artistry which offered work life balance and very flexible work schedule, great product training.

    Cons

Not many hours were provided in my last position as Freelance Makeup Artist with the company....low growth opportunities for African American and people of color that are highly talented.

    Advice to Management

The company should recognize highly talented and skilled employees and encourage advance placement opportunities. Company should offer more hours to highly talented freelance artists.
