I worked at Estée Lauder UK part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Had an amazing coordinator that allowed to work the hours that I wanted. My schedule was the best!! The pay was pretty good as well.

    Cons

The cosmetics line closed all it's make-up counters and decided to only be sold online.

    Advice to Management

Management was great and I look forward to working with these people hopefully in the near future.

I have been working at Estée Lauder UK part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Estée Lauder is a leader in the cosmetic world and for good reason the products are fabulous and it's not hard to sale something you love!

    Cons

Sometimes the communication with account executives is not good. They are supposed to be there to help but most of the time we can not reach them for questions.

    Advice to Management

No advice really just work on communicating better with employees

I have been working at Estée Lauder UK full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I really love what I do. I feel like there are a lot of opportunities and room for growth. Work is very challenging and interesting. The brand I am working for is doing very well and it is exciting to be part of it.

    Cons

I feel like salaries do not reflect the actual work that employees do. I feel like everyone always wants more money but I think it is justified here. In general ELC pays lower than our competitors. I am not sure how they can get away with it considering the company is doing so well.

    Pros

    People, benefits, reputation, industry leader

    Cons

Salary, work/life balance, daycare accommodations, flexibility

    Advice to Management

Better benefits for working mothers are expected from such a big company in this industry. There is definitely a lack of understanding of work/life balance in this company.

    Pros

Experience with makeup. Good retail experience. Gratis. Get to try new products. Learning how to work with products and different customer base.

    Cons

Extreme retail hours, especially around the holidays. Ugly uniforms. No actual training as far as makeup application if in a retail store.

    Advice to Management

Give more information about new and upcoming products and collections to artists and employees so that they may relay the info to customers who have seen or heard about the products online or elsewhere before hand.
