    I worked at Esterline full-time

    Pros

Excellent moving package. There were some dedicated staff doing there best to keep the boat from listing.

    Cons

The worst business experience I have encountered in my career. I was dedicated to my position, but I was not given adequate technical support staff; subsequently, my work weeks averaged 70+ hours. I believed the technical staffing shortage would be short lived, but I was told after two years there would be no additional support coming. I exited stage left for a higher paying position with a competitor and enough engineering support while averaging 50-55 hour work weeks.

    Advice to Management

Bid the contracts at a higher price point. We would have been better off not winning if we bid so low we can't afford plant improvements and adequate staffing. Only two possible bidders in the market for most contracts. Bid higher for less market share, higher gross margins, and a respectable net income for the investors.
