    Pros

Pay and the fact that you work part time and still have enough time to work a normal job. Also the ladies in the office were very nice and helpful.

    Cons

Management, Didn't know who was who. Never was properly trained right. Had fellow dock hands not caring about teaching me.

    Advice to Management

Make sure dock workers are trained properly.

I have been working at Estes Express full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You can make a lot of money here if you are willing to work. Medical insurance is above average.

    Cons

The vacation policy is the worst in the industry. They claim to have an open door policy, but although the door is always open, they are in no way interested in solving either their or your issues. When you walk through the door, their primary concern is how to get you out. They treat their customers the same way which makes working as a city driver an unpleasant experience. Management is, for the most part, very unprofessional and completely devoid of leadership skills. They are arrogant and condescending. I would look elsewhere for employment if I was just starting out.

    Advice to Management

    Take some leadership courses.

    Pros

Great company to work for! They promote from within, and they give great support to sales reps. Estes is growing fast and is a very stable company. Good pay and benefits! Must be motivated to work here. if you are not self driven... you will fail!

    Cons

Many changes happening all the time from a local to corporate level. This is not necessary a con.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees know that they are valued (at all levels) and appreciated and continue noticing improvements. This is a great company to work for and I have no bad words to say about the company itself.

    Pros

Weekly pay. Night manager very seasoned and solid leader.

    Cons

50-60hr work weeks. No time for lunch...it's actually taboo to take one. Dock workers make roughly the same money you do, as they also can average 40-50hr a week makin $19+. Insurance is very weak. Pay is below average for this industry. You tend to be a glorified team lead.

    Advice to Management

None keep up the good work. Lol
