Great place to work, lots of room to grow!
Jan 1, 2015 - Customer Service Representative in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It was a great environment to work at supervisors are very helpful and try to make their employees realistically happy! Training was great and motivational everyone was very helpful! Pay is descent compared to most jobs lots of incentive and bonus opportunities and you get raises based off of your overall performance every yr. They always have new positions available to make more money! So your not stuck in one position too long you can move up not too long after graduation. Also they offer work at home opportunities to those who earn the privilege!
Cons
I don't have any personal cons except that it's a very repetitive job i mean it is a call center so all you do is take repetitive inbound calls back to back! You do the same thing all day for 8 hrs sitting in your cubical with not much interaction with others you only get a 30 min lunch and two 15 min breaks if u need a break in between you mess up your adherence potentially messing up your overall performance. It's like any call center I'm sure so if your ok with staying in one spot for 8 hrs a day with little to no movement/interaction and repetitive back to back calls this is the job for you! I liked it for a while it was exciting and a challenge at first but after a yr and a half of learning the job it just became boring/repetitious for me! Definitely not something I could do for long term.

Not Too Bad
Jun 30, 2018 - Customer Service Representative in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You have the opportunity to work from home. There was no script to read from. They had games in the break room, a small internet cafe and food trucks outside for lunch. During the winter you could see deer walking around outside and they have picnic tables where you can sit under a shade tree and enjoy your lunch. Once a month you had a team meeting which were fun and gave you an hour off the phones. Snacks were allowed at your desk & for Halloween you could wear a costume.
Cons
A typical day meant logging into the system and taking close to 80 calls from customers who were upset that their rates were being raised and why their friend was getting a discount and they weren't. You had to add and remove cars from the policy and give quotes. You had to upsell homeowners and pet insurance. You had to fax LOE to car dealerships and maintain an unrealistic call flow. They have a system where can they see when you are not on calls, how long and how often. Some of the supervisors didn't know the answer to questions that were being asked to them. And your stats were displayed to everyone so the whole company could see how you ranked.

Licensed Customer Service
May 30, 2015 - Licensed Customer Service Representative in Ogden, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Clean, friendly atmosphere. Not having to share desks. Company embraces diversity. Decent bonus structure. Employees are treated as adults. Benefits are expensive but decent. Most promotions are internal.
Cons
Unable to take time off if you don't have PTO to cover it. Not being able get the schedule you need (it's better in regular customer service because there are 3-4 times as many reps compared to licensed). Challenging to understand billing system. Quoting/sales software is glitchy, which causes a lot of frustration on both the reps part and customers. Call volume causing cancellation of training/meetings. Mandatory overtime every so often. Very little opportunity to advance to a non-phone position at this location.

Nice place to work.
Feb 21, 2014 - Licensed Customer Service Representative in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The San Antonio office is a friendly and relaxed working environment. Our site leader is awesome. You can tell that he truly cares about his employees. He is always asking for feedback and if there is anything that he can do to make our jobs easier. The managers and team leads are supportive and knowledgeable.
Cons
It would be nice to have more options or flexibility with our schedules.

Fabulous!
Feb 20, 2014 - Licensed Customer Service Representative in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Everyone functions as a team. We all get along and we help each other out! We all enjoy parites and we have them pretty frequently! This is a great company to work for and I'm sure none of us are going anywhere. We have options to flex our schedules if we want and they let us choose which hours to move into/out of.
Cons
Cube farm life can get a little repetitive, you have to keep it interesting.

Very friendly leadership staff welcoming the new hires making you feel comfortable with learning new material even with little or no experiance in call centers or Insurance. Awesome training staff, Flexible hours, and awesome benifits & Incentives.
Cons
The downside to working at esurance is now all my friends and family want me to look at thier insurance to see if they are getting a good rate.

Great training, great people
Mar 3, 2014 - Customer Service Representative in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Excellent training. I felt very prepared for my job. Even after training the company provides a lot of support and ways to learn to do your job better.
Cons
Downsides related to the job - dealing with sometimes irate people. Even there Esurance gives reps a lot of latitude to give customers positive outcomes.

Not modern world.
Jan 15, 2016 - Customer Service Representative II in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Stable schedule. Healthcare offered along with dental, eye, life, and long term illness coverages through Aetna. Work from home options available.
Cons
Systems outdated and programs do not run efficiently. Consistent software errors and limitations. Frequent rate increases and dishonest practices with consumers. Extremely stressful environment with unreasonable statistics placed upon employees. Being a doormat for customer complaints with absolutely no way to actually assist them.

May 10, 2016 - Licensed Customer Service Representative in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
you move up quickly in the customer service department. they give yearly "bonus" I use that loosely. You have the chance to work at home which is pretty sweet.
Cons
the systems are ALWAYS breaking causing issues with policy holders policies. Some taken money when shouldn't be. make changes every day so you HAVE to be flexible. The customers are ruthless. but I think that's every customer service job.
