    Licensed Customer Service

May 30, 2015 - Licensed Customer Service Representative in Ogden, UT
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Clean, friendly atmosphere. Not having to share desks. Company embraces diversity. Decent bonus structure. Employees are treated as adults. Benefits are expensive but decent. Most promotions are internal.

    Cons

Unable to take time off if you don't have PTO to cover it. Not being able get the schedule you need (it's better in regular customer service because there are 3-4 times as many reps compared to licensed). Challenging to understand billing system. Quoting/sales software is glitchy, which causes a lot of frustration on both the reps part and customers. Call volume causing cancellation of training/meetings. Mandatory overtime every so often. Very little opportunity to advance to a non-phone position at this location.

Run as fast as you can!!!!

Dec 28, 2009 - Claims Adjuster in Atlanta, GA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

The office location and friendly co-workers.

    Cons

    - Lack of work -life balance, Esurance has no concept of this and most employees put in unpaid overtime. - Masks itself as a standard insurance company but the largest market share is non-standard customers. - Adjusters will be assigned 10 claims a day with excessive metrics that are not based on customer service. - Pay is below average - There is zero respect from Senior management or office managers - Benefits are mediocre and are even worse for 2010 - Career potential is non existent, most of the new hires are through nepotism or former co-workers of management. - Esurance is obsessed with JD Powers survey but has yet to figure out why they are stuck at the bottom, but they forget when the claims adjuster have no incentive to give good customer service then the customer in return will give poor customer service surveys.

    Good Place to be

    Pros

I have spent my entire career in insurance. This is my 4th company and the best in my opinion. Do we have issues, sure, everyone does, but Senior Management does a good job of keeping people informed on the changing landscape of our industry

    Cons

At times we don't have everything figured out. That can drive people crazy that need a black and white environment. Benefits are not as good as they once were but that seems to be the norm

    IT\Dev culture needs help

    Feb 21, 2014 - Anonymous Employee
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Company is stable and growing. Advancement can happen quickly if you plan correctly. Great salary and bonus structure. Great benefits and perks from parent company Allstate.

    Cons

Quantity over quality for all IT (people, projects, processes, etc). High pressure environment with aggressive\unrealistic deadlines. High turnover and long hours. The best people leave after getting a good title for companies with better culture. The personal growth and training programs are a joke. IT forced to rush through something at the last possible minute because normal workload is priority. Blame and Shame mentality highly ingrained in the IT culture. Heavy reliance on offshore labor to "save" costs while increasing headcount.

    Pros

They have great benefits and perks. The OT incentives are awesome. Opportunities to grow within the company. The environment is great. I've worked for other contact centers in the past and Esurance is by far the best. Management is very helpful and knowledgeable. I love working here.

    Cons

Aside from the background check process, haven't had any negative experiences.

    Injury adjuster

May 11, 2018 - Injury Adjuster in Tampa, FL

    Business Outlook

    Pros

I have been a full time employee for over 5 years and have never been so happy with where I work. The culture they have created here centers on open and honest communication. With a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion and acceptance makes this office a very loving place to be. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of going through two major health situations while employed here. Esurance and their commitment to work life balance exceeded all expectations. The HR department contacted my wife and took her through step by step on everything that needed to be done and filed out. My pay was never delayed and my family was taken care of. The ability to work from home when needed is a benefit that you can’t put a price on. No more PTO days for home repairs and that type of stuff. Any time off under 3 hours you don’t have to use PTO. You are allowed to make it up that week. Esurance also puts a lot of work into the staffing model. Standard day-to-day work load is very manageable and in no way overwhelming. Truly an outstanding place to work.

    Cons

No cons that i can think of.
