I have been working at EtQ full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Senior leaders who are available, trustworthy and ethical that also posses the necessary experience to lead a successful team.
-Owners who are investing in the business for the longer term thus minimizing sub-optimal short-term decisions.
    -Smart and motivated co-workers.
-Newly built out Burlington office space with excellent IT tools.

    Cons

EtQ is investing in all aspects of its business functions which results in a significant amount of change. The change can be disruptive (even though it is positive). Potential employees should be ready to embrace and be part of the evolution.

    Advice to Management

Continue to welcome and support an inclusive and diverse work environment. It will lead to the desired results!

I have been working at EtQ full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Fast-growing with smart, genuine and hard-working people
    - Strong leadership that regularly communicates values and major initiatives, visible/accessible and rolls-up sleeves when necessary
    - Willingness to take calculated risks in order to grow the business
    - Fast-paced, hard-working environment with ample opportunity to learn and advance your career
    - Managers care about your professional development just as much as a cause
    - Casual, yet professional, culture - very collaborative - emphasized importance of flexible working schedule
    - Reputable and supportive PE firm that provides valuable guidance
    - Start-up feel with well-established product and many happy, enterprise-level customers

    Cons

    - Growing fast can be complicated, many moving parts, which can create initiatives that don't always hang together perfectly
    - HQ change, and lay-offs have created temporary gaps in functional areas
    - Seemingly outdated for time being, but both minor/major changes already in progress to change that

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Feels like this company will be a major success, and it is great to be a part of it.

I have been working at EtQ full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Good pay
    -Very casual
    -Great coworkers
-Very supportive work environment, very willing to work to meet your needs.

    Cons

These mostly aren't cons, but they are things that you should know before you come to work here.
-While there is training, the majority of the training is on the job. You learn about system issues by investigating other issues that have occurred previously.
-The Support team is 24/7, which means shifts may start early in the morning, or end late in the evening, or even work overnight.
-Office is kind of small for the number of people in it. More bathrooms would be helpful.

I have been working at EtQ full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Lots of progressive change happening
    Flexibility
    Team building
    Lots of talented employees
Management listens to concerns, and addresses problems
    Work hard- play hard mentality

    Cons

We are in a transition period, so it can be chaotic
    A lot of 'pre-transition' employees aren't happy
    Lots of goal oriented pressure
Benefits aren't competitive to a company of this size

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. We're bound to lose some people after a huge shift in culture, but the change is for the good. This mentality will attract the type of employees you want, and weed out the ones you don't.

I have been working at EtQ full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company is moving towards a bigger and brighter future. If you are a self starter and a team player that adapts quickly to change and loves a challenge, this is the place for you.

    -room for growth, trainings available
    -casual dress code/flexible work environment
-solid benefits package, I can go to every doctor I went to before, $35 co-pay
-2 weeks vacation, 7 days PTO to start, increases overtime, CEO mentioned there may be more coming!
-fellow employees are HELPFUL, there is always someone you can ask for help when you need it.
-Team meetings held fairly frequently to keep you in the loop of company progress/areas for growth

    Cons

The company is going through a transitional period. There was an office closure and lay-offs and that is naturally sad for those laid off but this is for the greater good of the company and it's employees moving forward. If you require hand holding and hate change, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep the lines of communication as open as they are now & take care of the employees who are transitioning well through these changes. Excited to see our hard work pay off!

    Pros

Over all the pay for the front line Tech support is pretty good for the market

    Cons

As with any large Corp, there are changes and some good some bad. Recent change in structure has created a lot of mixed feelings from the employees

    Advice to Management

change happens, letting the entire company have some say in them makes for better morale.

I have been working at EtQ full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Working with EtQ gives you valuable skills, such as Python programming, Angular, database SQL, and strong communications skills, depending on the position you apply for.

EtQ is keeping up to date with new technologies to stay competitive in the market.
The management in EtQ is reasonable when it comes to the work life balance and project deadlines. This is especially true after you pass the learning curve first year.

The benefit package of EtQ includes 2,3 or 4 weeks of vacation, (2 weeks in the first 3 years), family health insurance, PTOs, and 401K.

The IC position in particular requires extensive onsite travel. This is cool for
people who enjoy airport travel and flying.

    Cons

    * The travel part can be stressful if you are married and have kids.
    * The learning curve could take up to a year, and not less than 6 months.
    * If you are not a strong programmer, you will not have good life-work balance.
    * Not all positions are cutting edge.

I have been working at EtQ full-time

    Pros

EtQ has gone through a lot of transitions recently. That's never easy, but the payoff is that EtQ is in the best possible position to serve its market. There's a renewed focus on both the customer and employee experiences. EtQ is initiating a lot of employee benefit programs that puts them in line with some of the best practices around. Additionally, the customers have more direct communication lines with the management team, and they seem to really appreciate that.

EtQ has a best in class product, a world class management team and the investment backing to do whats right for its customers. Its an exciting time for EtQ and its customers.

    Cons

Change is tough and there's been a lot of change at EtQ over the last couple of years. If you like the excitement associated with high growth and constant evolution this is the place for you.

I have been working at EtQ full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Casual dress code,
Coworkers become like friends and family,
    direct managers very understanding,
    flexible,
    growing

    Cons

Management doesn't seem to take employee concerns into consideration,
Barriers to entry within company to grow,
    departments often feel understaffed,
problem departments are reoccurring problems even with complaints filed,
Internal IT aggressive and less competent than necessary for a software company,
Too many internal systems to switch between,
hardware always seems on cheaper side,
office quickly becoming too small for the amount of growth expected,
    Not enough bathrooms,
Mid-upper management often doesn't speak to employees so lower management is expected to get points brought up by employees but is often not or miss-communicated,
Company doesn't seem to think long term is always seeming to worry about now

    Advice to Management

More transparency, think a little bit farther ahead, the office we currently have a lease signed for is for way too long for the amount we expected to grow (Already too small), slideshows about how things are going to change are great, actual change is better.
