I worked at Etihad Airways full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Gold sand money, flight benefits, subsidized health care

    Cons

Corrupt managers and VP's with a lead by fear management style. Company turns a blind eye to unethical behaviors committed by the managers and VPS. You are a slave to the company, everyone who works here is miserable and everyone who has left says it's the worst job of their career. The only people left are those who have golden handcuffs and can't get hired elsewhere. HR doesn't do anything about harassment complaints. Airline is failing and will eventually go out of business.

    Advice to Management

Admit to your lies and stop harassing people. Your poor actions will catch up with you...

I worked at Etihad Airways full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flight benefits are the BEST in the industry, PTO, and retirement benefits. Chance to work with some of the most brilliant minds in the sector. Growth opportunities for those who are politically savvy.

    Cons

    - Lack of job security - company has been in a state of restructuring for the past 3+ years.
    - Poor hires and appointments have been made in the name of restructuring causing high performers to exit and leaving the organization to be run by sub-par managers and their lackeys.
    - Addl. workload without extra compensation
    - Most employees uncertain about the airline's strategy

    Advice to Management

Bring in top outside talent instead of reshuffling existing leaders every few months. Practice real meritocracy across all levels. Support professional development of all employees at least at the same level as UAE nationals.

    Cons

Favoritism, Hire due to physical attributes not because of skills

    Advice to Management

Treat staff with respect they are not slaves but they are the one working hard to support EY goals. Management is pushy what to do instead of encouraging staff what to do. Terrible! Its a bad middle eastern culture! full of arrogance!

    Pros

Travel perks, 401k and basic healthcare

    Cons

Terrible management in USA. Too many dictators, no leadership, management heavy with minimal staff out in field selling.

A lot of false promises and bad or nil communication.

False promises on inventive / bonus plans

    Large pay gaps

Arrogant dictatorship and stale sales ‘leaders’

    Advice to Management

Start to value your staff or what’s left of them. Lose the arrogance.
