I have been working at Euler Hermes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've worked at Euler for almost 2 years. I absolutely love working for Euler - hard work and dedication to the company is definitely recognized & the company does focus on internal promotion. Endless possibilities if you're willing to put in hard work!

    Cons

[some] Middle management is not familiar with credit insurance as a product. Makes it frustrating when you feel like you need to go above your immediate boss or look to other departments for an answer.

I worked at Euler Hermes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are absolutely excellent people working for this company. Very hands-on, cooperative and smart. We build some great programs for large corporations globally.

    Cons

At the time I worked here there were a few people in upper management that rather traveled and paraded around being very important, red tape and politics were very sad. I am happy that most of these people have been removed from their positions and I hope that improved the efficiency of the company since the credit insurance product is already very difficult to sell in the US.

    Advice to Management

After 3 months of lesser numbers don't throw all sales people out that have worked in the company for 5 to 20 years. Make it work, it is really better.

I have been working at Euler Hermes full-time

    Pros

Laid back culture, competitive pay, market leader, most management cares about their employees. Bottom-up management style that values new opinions

    Cons

Had a lot of HR issues, but they are revamping their HR dept to fix. Some managers do not care about developing young talent. Puts too much emphasis on experience rather than competency.

    Advice to Management

Develop young talent and focus on retaining those individuals. Make sure middle management is interested in creating a team environment and working to keep their team happy.

    Pros

A lot of great benefits to help you self improve. Great annual bonus. Fair pay. The company will invest in you if you show your worth. Relaxed professional setting with easy to talk to management. Real open door policy. Internal international career advancements available. Lots of team building functions.

Better training for middle management. Better health insurance. I do not have anything bad to say about this company, I feel it was the best career choice I made and I plan on retiring from this company.

    Advice to Management

New management should just take there time and learn what they can and a acceptable pace. If you have a great team or already developed team they will support you.

I have been working at Euler Hermes full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great company culture. Everyone works hard to hit their goals and those who aren't pulling their weight fall behind or leave. People are rarely let go, you either keep up or you stay where you are until you leave yourself. The bar is set at a high level and we take pride in being the biggest and the best in the industry.

    Cons

With size and success comes bureaucracy. There are too many checks and individual employees are not given the proper amount of authority to adjust to the market in real time. With that said, the company is constantly evaluating itself to correct such issues.

    Advice to Management

Honestly, I feel management understands our weaknesses and is working to improve upon them. It takes time to implement change. I believe we're always slowly moving in the right direction and the industry follows our lead.
