I have been working at Euro Pacific Capital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great atmosphere, fantastic staff, teamwork oriented, high-paced environment, service clients of ages and demographics. Each client has a different life story and all are fascinating.

    Cons

Company philosophy has not been panning out as expected. We focus on international trading and precious metals for US based clients. Although reluctant to leave, I look to expand my qualifications and skill level .

    Advice to Management

Exemplary record with clean U4. I have retired family and friends along with many active servicemen and women. I feel it is time for me to give back in the best way I can!!

    Pros

Nice people, great holiday parties. Investment strategies are sound.

    Cons

Sadly this is a business that's swimming against the tide. Management was in denial, and I suspect this ship is nearly sunk.

    Advice to Management

    Be pragmatic

I worked at Euro Pacific Capital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

An entry level opportunity for brokers
Leads from database generated by Peter Schiff & his media/marketing

    Cons

Narrow choice of investment vehicles (only EP Funds and Managed Money RIA which are all non USA stocks and bonds. Literally missed 90% of USA market rally but caught all of downside of gold crash and international stocks meltdown. )
No team spirit or camaraderie to speak of
Terrible performance by Euro Pacific private placements, many in lawsuits or worthless

    Advice to Management

Let Peter market and outsource all your asset management to a traditional pieshaped MPT allocation run by a big house

    Pros

You learn how not to run a brokerage firm.

    Cons

"Just because the doctor diagnoses the disease, doesn't mean they know the cure." Working there forced me to learn the int'l markets/economies and their interconnection with US markets. But what I learned caused me to realize that Peter is wrong.

Platform is very low-grade and brokers are severely restricted from straying outside the Peter philosophy, even if it's in the best interest of the client.

Watch your payout percentages! The numbers they initially gave me and what I was actually paid was much lower.

Periodically, they do "client dumps". A client dump is when the big producing brokers dump clients on newer brokers. These clients have already been milked for their commissions, but now must be serviced. The big producers can't be bothered with providing service, so they dump these clients on newer brokers to service. It's genius, when you think about it!

    Advice to Management

    See a shrink...
