I worked at Eurofins Scientific full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free food occasionally. Besides that, honestly nothing.

    Cons

Treated like your nothing by management.
    Constantly lied to by management.
    Expected to work overtime everyday.
Management doesn't care about their employees as long as they are getting paid.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to your employees. the fact that you are over working one person it ridiculous. There are other people that work in the lab with less work and instead to you give everything to one specific person then put him down when he doesn't do every last bit up to par. You all should be ashamed to even pride yourselves on how you treat your employees. You treat them like garbage then try to make it up to them by promising something just to take it away in 6 months because it was never a real thing it was just a bribe to make them stay.

I worked at Eurofins Scientific full-time

    Pros

they cater lunch once a month

    Cons

No raises, extremely low starting wage, if you aren't part if the cool kids club like high school or don't suck up it's not a good place to work. Some take long breaks and lunches while others are warned about being a min late

    Advice to Management

Clean house, promote and recognize those that actually do the job

I have been working at Eurofins Scientific full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None. I should have stayed at my old job. The benefits are awful and pricy. The pay is ok but lower than what employees at the actual company gets paid.

    Cons

The staff is very unprofessional. My phone calls are never returned and my emails are ignored. If your are a professional scientist seek employment elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Please do not claim to be a great staffing company when your job performance is sub par.

I worked at Eurofins Scientific full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are okay and they will hire just about anyone, so if you need a job desperately, you can get one here.

    Cons

Pretty much everything is a con with the Food Microbiology department in Lancaster PA. Management is terrible, turnover rate is super high (someone quit every week, sometimes two people per week). They force you to work overtime every day without a reprieve, and if you can't, they will write you up. Understaffed, staff is overworked and underpaid. They make promises of raises, but no one saw a raise the year that I was there. There are way too many negatives to list.

    Advice to Management

Hire qualified people and enough of them to keep up with production. Treat people like humans instead of prisoners. Keep your word or don't speak.

    Pros

Never a dull moment; good, diverse group of young people to work with.

    Cons

Wow. Where do I start. Ditto on the poor work/life balance, and poor pay/benefits. Poor supervisory management. Those in science supervisory roles are great scientist(s) and business acumen; but very poor with supervisory management, coaching and leadership. Also, the work load is not matched up with resources, which causes everyone to work like slaves for extended periods of time, compromising the quality of work and quality of life for the employees.

    Advice to Management

Get formal, ongoing and refresher training on supervisory management, coaching and true leadership skills.

I worked at Eurofins Scientific (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company seems to be efficiently organized. If you like a non personal workplace, that's what you'll get, communication was mainly through emails.

    Cons

They bought out the company I worked for and told us we would not lose our jobs, six months later they were closing us down and relocating to Lancaster. They also lied to clients about where the sample testing was taking place to assure them they would meet deadlines, which was not feasible.

    Advice to Management

Not to lie to employees or clients. Treat employees with respect if you expect them to care about the job they are doing and for who they are doing.

I have been working at Eurofins Scientific full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good location to my house.

    Cons

Eurofins Louisville, KY, is in serious financial difficulty. 60% turnover rate in the labs due to low pay and long, unreliable work hours. IT to be cut by 50% by year end 2016.
