    Pros

    Benefits are great, most of the people there were great to work with

    Cons

    Turnover rate is ridiculous and management loves it as it allows them to replace experienced scientists with contractors. If you are good at lying and using people management will dote on you and promote you. If you come in to work hard and not get involved in office politics you become the one gossip starts about and become the next to be used and chewed up.

    Advice to Management

    The people who come to you bad talking everyone else say the same about you when you aren't around. Invest in your people and talk to them, not at them.

    Pros

    There is a lot of freedom given to employees as far as schedule goes. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Benefits are decent.

    Cons

    Pay seems a bit low
    Management isn’t very good at handling confrontation. They keep some bad employees around rather than firing them and hiring someone better.

    Advice to Management

    Be more confrontational. Handle problem employees rather than ignoring them until the problem escalates.

    Cons

    1-Onsite opportunities are very less or negligible.
    2-Company is not providing release letter or experience letter while some one is leaving the company. Experience letters / Releaving letter are provided after 30 days even after serving 2 months notice period.

    Please provide atleast Releaving letter to the day employee is making part ways with you so he has atleast some proof to submit in other company same wise like you are expecting both Experience and Releaving letter one the joining day of a new joinee.

    Please improve exit policy

    QA team is going through turbulence due to VERY FEW naysayers.
    Buy new tools that is used in industry, like JIRA.

    Pros

    1. Free lunch

    3. Good compensation compared to other top companies in the market.

    Cons

    No future to QA which is working directly under the program.

    QA in Eurofins has been split into two halves.

    Ø One is SQAO ( Big vertical in Eurofins which provides QA services to Programs)

    Ø Another half is directly working under Program’s supervision

    QA under SQAO has got great opportunity in terms of career growth, help from the top leaders and learning. SQAO follows all the QA processes, good practices without fail and makes sure the programs follow the same to which they cater the services. They are having various training programs, large group to discuss on the progress and put forward thoughts/suggestion by working with different committees etc. This has helped people to attain new skills thus paving the way to further progress in their career.

    The QA under the Program’s supervision is suffocating.

    Program Director is full of arrogance, plays politics, and doesn’t know how to provide solutions to issues, biased towards development teams.

    1. Worst Program Managers.

    2. Bigheaded development teams.

    3. People are unaware of QA processes.

    4. On the emails and discussion with top managements, the QA processes are supported by the Program but on the contrary, in the backend, the same program dejects QA to not to follow any processes.

    Example:

    Ø QA has been asked to not to log any defects on the tool.

    Ø If Tester logs the defect by mistake, he/she will be penalized by putting the defect undergo lot of meetings/discussions/approvals/defect severity changes and ultimately ‘Reject’ the defect. Sometimes tester undergoes mental trauma for raising a defect!!. Hence most of them don’t raise it.

    Ø Nobody cares about the testing is really done or not. The builds not received on time to finish testing within the Sprint, the issues/concerns raised are never taken care by the managers in the program, and always developers are preferred over testers.

    Ø Builds are deployed sometimes directly to the higher environment without tests being performed in the lower environment.

    5. No promotions and career growth as we are working directly under the Program. Even though I was working very hard from many years but due to the QA split, my efforts were not recognized. Rather, needless to say due to politics, I had to lose one of my projects even though I was doing a great job there.

    6. One of the Managers was let go due to the bad management and program leaders supported in the background to prove the bad management. Also, proved misconduct. This can happen to anybody who is not in line with the Program’s personal vendetta.

    7. Project managers under this Program are having experience only in hiring people and not even managing them. Forget about the technology and the tools. This has been criticized publically by one of the top leader in India. That’s the fate and what better we can expect from such managers…?

    8. QA under this Program is not supported to do anything beyond the Sprint activities and functional Testing. New testing methods are not appreciated because of the fear of identifying more defects.

    9. Not even Regression Testing is done during every Sprint. Imagine how bad the quality of the product is. Hence the Milestone deadlines keep postponing!!

    10. Also, the mind mapping concept which is introduced by SQAO is not followed by the QA under the Program. This is used by top companies in the market but for this Program, it is treated as useless.

    Nothing good is happening inside Program. No support for QA, no motivation and no interesting factors for QA.

    Advice to Management

    1. Kindly hire brainy top management people and not politicians.

    2. Treat QA people also fairly along with developers, business analysts, release teams etc.

    3. Support QA by supporting QA practice, testing is not a cheap job. Without proper testing of a product, Eurofins India will lose its respect in this pestegious program , in the whole Eurofins.

    4. Make QA one as a whole and don't break us.

    5. Provide career opportunities, to QA resources.
