I worked at Europa Sports Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that work there are fun and professional, dress code is casual, company was very flexible with work hours and respected family life, especially the 2 owners. That says a lot about this company. They are passionate about their business but work very hard to spend quality time with their families.

    Cons

I was not challenged enough and not encouraged to take on new projects.

    Advice to Management

Management was excellent at Europa, but listen to your employees when they may have good ideas and especially when they want to do more and work harder than expected. That's rare these days.

I worked at Europa Sports Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Honestly Ive worked for many companies and the only pro about this company is the coworkers. With out the coworkers sticking together everyday to get the job done i wouldnt wake up to step foot in this place if i didnt have bills to pay.

    Cons

The management frowns down upon the warehouse workers. They strip you of your overtime for instance, the warehouse workers will work 3 to 4 hours overtime in the beginning of the week and on thursday and friday we will be ask to come in 3 hours later than our set schedule in order for each worker not to get theyre hard earned OT. Management has no appreciation for warehouse workers skills and effort, no bonuses, pay raise, just work and go home. Lonestar distributions was a waaaay better establishment they cared about their employees and they appreciated every worker office and warehouse staff shot out to JOHN HOFFMAN!!. Overall if your looking to work for a warehouse company dont look here. If your white your priviledged to work in the office every warehouse worker is of ethnic back ground am i the only one thats thinks thats a coincidence or we should just quote on quote "THINK IMAGE" smh eff this company.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your warehouse crew and keep them happy by putting money in their pockets not just a pat on the back because without them your company will fall to the ground literally. Pay more competitive the work it too much for little pay Europa is paying their forklift operators 11 an hour when certified operators should start at 15 smh. Stop being so cheap with your employees or do the work yourself.

I worked at Europa Sports Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Team Members are nice and always helpful

    Cons

Poor Work/Life balance. No room for advancement. Employees are a number. nothing more nothing less

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees and empower them to do want to do the best they can. Training over replacing as an answer will go a long way. If you can't follow your own IMAGE testament don't push it onto everyone who works for you

I have been working at Europa Sports Products (More than a year)

    Pros

Free gym. Samples. Causal work environment.

    Cons

If you aren't in sales, you do not mean anything to the company. Pay is less then competitive (unless you're in sales). There is a limit of 4% on annual raises. With the recent merger, the work load has doubled and staffing numbers have gone down, however, management has decided no additional people will be hired. The company is constantly catching it's tail trying to hit un obtainable sales numbers by months end and this does not allow others to do their job. Budgets are being cut so I highly doubt there will be any promotions or raises in the coming year. Hours aren't great for some departments, career advancement is getting more and more difficult.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate the "Image" you are displaying to employees. Moral is down and the best advise is "everyone is stressed and has a lot of work on their plate"....seriously? Changes need to be made or the employee turnover next year will be awful. Stop being so cheap and invest in the employees. Losing good employees will be more of a headache in the future then spending a little money to keep morale up. Stop making it so apparent that sales rule the world!!!!!!!!!!

    Pros

Benefit Options, Onsite trainer, discounts on products, lots of free samples and swag from vendors, health and wellness fair, holiday luncheons, decent hours and if you had to leave in the middle of they day they were easy to work with, Owners were AWESOME

    Cons

Pay was low, Politics, very cliquey, fat shaming/foot shaming/ over all body shaming, I was not a warehouse worker but our warehouse workers were looked down on, did not post open job positions, positions were often filled based off "the look", little room for advancement, option to travel with company but that's mostly sales reps and the "in crowd" , lots of internal relationships leading to some people to be favored over others.

    Advice to Management

More vendor training, competitive pay, offer more room for raises and definitely more room for advancement. Review the departments on a regular basis. And implement a policy on employee dating. Reinforce respect across the board. Make things a little more fair.

    Pros

    Extremely quality gym available (Bodybuilding)
Business is not open on Weekends, Mon-Fri Work Schedule
Employee-discounted products from Warehouse (comes out of Paycheck)
    Strong sense of Community
    Hour Lunch Break
Food Trucks often available during Lunch

    Cons

Absolutely zero air-conditioning in Warehouse, brutal sweat/water intake during work day
Very elastic hours, possibly asked to stay 1-3 hours beyond expectations and late into night
Sense of being looked down upon by working in Warehouse as opposed to other areas of the business

    Advice to Management

    Install Air Conditioning in Warehouse
Establish better sense of Respect, Appreciation for Warehouse workers

I worked at Europa Sports Products full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Some of the people.
If your into fitness supplements that's what you'll be around all day.
    Weekends off
    25% discount on products

    Cons

The warehouse manager acts more like a shipping Supervisor then his actual roll. The lack of communication is unbelievable. He will take over running shipping make mistakes and pin it on the current Supervisor even tho is stated "Don't worry I have this covered" that's a crock! Favoritism is big in the Windsor DC building. And if you cross him or call him out he sets you up for failure. Hours for employees are 11-8/9 for the shipping Supervisor its 9/10 to 10/12 every day. As he leaves between 4:30/8 ( this is after you have been trained up)

    Advice to Management

Get a real warehouse manager. And let the current one be your over paid shipping Supervisor.

I have been working at Europa Sports Products (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Casual working environment, gym, good PTO, good insurance albeit expensive. Some departments are better than others for politics.

    Cons

Different departments managed different ways. Since their merger this year, the culture has suffered. Not a real sense of being employee oriented. Top talent is leaving on a regular basis.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget your people. They are what got you here.

    Cons

Very low pay in almost every department, extremely political & new ideas are frowned upon. Excessive micromanagement and HR likes to make more drama than actually help their employees.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Europa Sports Products part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a job. It's Monday-Friday only. The people you work with are cool and doing their best to make a living instead of living off the government. If you suck at being a manager or supervisor you would probably excel at working for this company.

    Cons

You will always work hours past your scheduled time off. Not enough staff or can't keep the staff you have. 12+ hour days with no breaks besides a 1 hour unpaid lunch. Poor training. This company doesn't even deserve 1 star but I had to put at least 1 to post. If you go thru a temp agency and get this job I'd wait for something better to come along. I'm not a disgruntle employee, but I've worked in a lot of warehouse and this by far is the worst ran one I have ever seen. And I quit on my own after 2 weeks.

    Advice to Management

Plan better! Staff your departments better! Give employees a reason to want to come to work and do their best. No one wants to come in at 10:30am and work until 11:30pm. That's just stupid! This is Texas it's hot as a roster on a tin roof! Maybe come in at 8am and leave at 6-7pm? Or even better how about a 2nd shift? People have families and this company obviously don't care for their warehouse employees! The ones that make the money that keeps it running.
