I have been working at European Parliament for less than a year

    Pros

Helpful and friendly colleagues, international atmosphere

    Cons

Luxembourg is quite expensive, so the salary is enough to live, but you cannot save much.

    Advice to Management

My experience with management was positive. Everything was pretty well organised. Perhaps it would be positive to negotiate a jobkaart (transport pass) that includes buses that go out of the city, since many trainees have to live in the villages nearby.

I worked at European Parliament for less than a year

      Pros

Amazing opportunity to work in a multicultural environment and to learn more about the European Institutions and its work. You can benefit from the knowledge professional and experienced translators. Good work environment.

      Cons

No cons really, but the traineeship should be longer.

I worked at European Parliament for less than a year

      Pros

      - You get tutored by true professionals and will learn a lot no matter what - Money is not bad and will cover rent and food by far (but it's still Luxembourg, so don't even think you're not going to end up spending every last cent!) - You get to make two trips (to see the Parliament in Strasbourg and the Commission in Brussels) and expenses are covered in both cases

      Cons

      - Way too short — the default traineeship should be 6 months with the possibility of extending it up to a year, not 3/6 months. When you finally get the hang of things, it's over!
