I have been working at Eurovia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great perks
    Nice offices in Horsham
    Friendly staff

    Cons

    Distinct lack of flexible working
Top down management style out of pace with modern workplace
Certain managers lack of confidence in staff
    Relatively high turnover in staff

    Advice to Management

Introduce flexible working as standard. Do not be afraid to let go of the reins a little and trust that your staff will achieve and deliver what they need to.

Using the old adage of "everyone is equal - if the gangs can't work like that, no one can" is outmoded for a modern workplace. Given how focused the company is on innovation, the current work practices do not always allow that.

I have been working at Eurovia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Newly refurbished offices allow for a vibrant and interactive working environment. Manager is encouraging and supportive which makes working here enjoyable and rewarding. Many opportunities to travel across the UK with our multiple contracts. You get 2 days a year for voluntary work which is great.

    Cons

Control and monitoring over multiple businesses and divisions activity can be a challenge. It takes time to learn the business inside-out as there are many products and services within our organisation.

    Advice to Management

Employ more people so that a couple of teams can grow at Head Office to help support the business

    I worked at Eurovia full-time

    Pros

The company provides a vary caring environment to work in, with a flexible approach and an understanding that sometimes things can get in the way of work! As long as you make it back up, then they were usually fine

    Cons

A lot of people have been with the company for many years and so it lacks a new or innovative approach. The wages also were slightly below other industry competitors

    Advice to Management

Introduce some new management and people to the company to allow growth

I have been working at Eurovia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most staff work zero extra hours, so good work/life balance.
Lot's of inexperience make it easy to stand out from the crowd.

    Cons

Middle management attempts to micro-manage more experienced staff.
Disgraceful and bullying attitude from HR with complete disregard for staff welfare.
No career progression due to old-school employees who it's doubtful could ever move on and get a job anywhere else.
Flexible working has been disallowed for all.
    Virtually no benefits.
    No bonuses.

    Advice to Management

If you want commitment, then commit to your staff.

I worked at Eurovia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Average Salary, nothing else i can think of.

    Cons

Working at Horsham was a pain, felt like working for a company still in the 1970s, an old style employer, no time flexibility, no career development, as an employee felt exploited even though the salary was not bad.
The thing with this company is the bad work atmosphere generated by the old management staff, went through stress first time in my career and never had a such feeling with previous employers. people there working over 10 years without a single promotion, just hated working there and have made the best move in my life when left this company.

    Advice to Management

A huge challenge is waiting for you, i am thinking of a radical management team change, giving the way to young people to take over those key positions as your head office is a career grave.

    Cons

A fear to spend money when it is required to do the work!

    Advice to Management

Never good to employ someone for a role that was advertised as someting else and then give them a role not advertised!
