    Pros

Amazing benefits, free lunch everyday, great people and overall great culture. Overall I felt like my voice was heard the majority of the time

    Cons

I worked at Eventbrite for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of free LaCroix and an oatmeal bar. Great place to coast if you don't want to be aid much.

    Cons

Strategic vision changes at least twice a year. Reorgs happen frequently. CEO plays favorites. Most of the best people I worked with we're let go due to Covid-19. The pay is extremely low for the Bay Area. I increased my salary 25% when I left. Too many people coasting and not doing much of anything. Middle management is only slightly worse than estaff. This used to be the best job in San Francisco. Seriously, the best job in San Francisco. I don't understand why anyone with any talent in product and engineering would work here. No pay. No future. I doubt the company will survive the year.

I worked at Eventbrite full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Incompetent leadership aside, the folks on the ground are genuinely talented and lovely. Some of them have stuck around for years despite terrible management, uncompetitive salaries, and rounds upon rounds of layoffs.

    Cons

You name it. Julia's all show, no substance. I'm still mystified that she and Kevin (who, as I was leaving, was taking up one of the office's very few conference rooms to conduct angel investing - get your own office, Kevin, you can afford it) managed to drive what was once a growing/thriving company so far into the ground. You want to be paid a laughably uncompetitive salary to reorg every 4 months and waffle about in the mess created by unclear strategic priorities? Step right up! The company laid off something like 60% of its workforce this year - will you be next? Other lowlights include: terrible leadership, managers who shouldn't be managers, lovely legalese masquerading as "transparency" from the CEO that belies just how out of her depth she is, a loud and disorganized nightmare of an open office plan, no direction or career growth to speak of unless you get a battlefield promotion. When I left EB to go work for another, smaller company, I got paid double my salary to do the same job. SERIOUSLY - double my salary at EB. Don't work here, there's no point.

Apologies for the very bad experience you had but am glad for you and your pay raise. For clarity sake: we did have to part ways with almost half the company a couple weeks back and this stemmed from the massive impact COVID has had on the live events industry. This was certainly not something we planned for at the start of the year. - DH

I worked at Eventbrite full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Office location, pet-friendly, decent enough snacks

    Cons

    - Leadership: no transparency, a lot of fakeness as our stock tanked - Low comp compared to rest of tech - Worthless stock - Subpar talent, or good talent undervalued - Cost cutting measured included no dinner or decreased breakfasts - Poor office layout inside -- very crowded, never enough meetings, only ONE single-stall/gender neutral bathroom that has a shower in it - Rookie engineering managers with no experience (either engineers with no social skills or EMs with no technical skills or never coded at Eventbrite)

    Pros

    Good culture and employee benefits!

    Cons

The company grew and did not have the space to accommodate the employees at the time, they made some changes, but they will most likely need a new office.
