I have been working at EverBank Financial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company is employee oriented, the management does genuinely care about its associates but I am sure not all managers are perfect. Great work and life balance. Nice office layouts at the HQ. Manager is great at recognizing hard work and makes sure he tells his audience the individuals that did the work rather than taking the credit all to himself.

    Cons

    Health care benefit is costly.

    Advice to Management

Compensation is not as competitive as other companies.

    Pros

No shortage of work to be done. Flexibility to jump in on different projects and grow your career skills. Management is pretty accommodating to personal situations that arise.

    Cons

Compensation is lower than industry comparables. Main building is downtown and as a result, parking is spread out across multiple city owned garages that require a substantial walk.

    Advice to Management

Institute a better meeting policy to start and end on scheduled time. Amend the HR guidelines on annual salary increases.

    Pros

They have a variety of projects and technologies that one can be part of.

    Cons

Some of the Software Development managers are not trained for the job. They do not have training in scrum or agile development, team building, coaching. At the time where I worked there, they were going through re-structuring and growing pains.

    Advice to Management

Train your managers in managing teams for this century instead of having industrial age managing style.

Downtown location have a nice view which includes paid parking. Training and benefits are awesome. Casual wear and team building occurs a lot.

    Advice to Management

Need to level set the resources and work on clarifying expectations with changing them in the middle of the fiscal year of changes to meet performance demands.
