I worked at EverBank Financial full-time

    Pros

The people were all hand-selected and great to work with.

    Cons

If they no longer needed you - didn't care what the circumstances were, they simply let you go.

    Advice to Management

Be more realistic in your expectations and don't go through so many good people like they are nothing.

    Pros

Large balance sheet is helpful. Access to funds for customer needs and services. Nationwide. Leverage for jumbo loans across he country

    Cons

Limited brick and mortar locations. Limited pay for the lower paid positions therefore lower morale.
Needs work upgrading technology for better customer experiences

    Advice to Management

More emphasis on supporting outreach and marketing for producers. More resources for fist time home buyers and workforce efforts.

I have been working at EverBank Financial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company is employee oriented, the management does genuinely care about its associates but I am sure not all managers are perfect. Great work and life balance. Nice office layouts at the HQ. Manager is great at recognizing hard work and makes sure he tells his audience the individuals that did the work rather than taking the credit all to himself.

    Cons

    Health care benefit is costly.

    Advice to Management

Compensation is not as competitive as other companies.

  5. "Could Be Better"

    Pros

Some of the managers are great, generous vacation for management, bonus structure okay. Many, many layers of governance - not necessarily a pro.

    Cons

Middle managers seem generally pretty unhappy, pull & tug between legacy & new managers, Senior manager told me they strive to be "in the middle of the pack" - no urgency to be great. Several layoffs happened when I was there, no telling when the next layoff will occur - makes people nervous.

    Advice to Management

Wake up to being better than average.

    Pros

Great benefits, pay and family atmosphere

    Cons

The company has gone through a recent merger and there is a sense of the unknown.

    Advice to Management

Be open minded to talent and look for someone that has a different skill set than what you're looking for
