    Pros

Entrepreneurial culture, lean deal teams, and great work/life balance

Some of the managers aren't the nicest guys around.

I have been working at Evercore Partners full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Evercore is a great place to start a career as an investment banking analyst or associate. They offer relatively higher compensation, a collegial work environment, high profile deals, and more responsibility on projects.

    Cons

The company is only 15+ years old and still growing its partner ranks through external hires. It will be telling to see how it develops its internal talent.

I have been working at Evercore Partners full-time

    Pros

Incredible place to work and begin a career in investment banking. The firm is very focused on developing their junior talent. Great culture and opportunity to work on some of the biggest deals

    Cons

The lifestyle can be grueling at times but it is nothing unusual compared to other places on Wall Street. The firm is also growing very fast and must work to keep its collegial, boutique culture going forward

Work on big deals and get a lot of experience/responsibility at junior level

    Cons

typical cons of banking with long hours but nothing worse than the average hours of the Street

I worked at Evercore Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The senior bankers at Evercore are among the smartest people in the banking world. Their style really epitomizes the "apprenticeship model," as they work in tandem with the junior bankers. Hours are reasonable for banking, and the work is meaningful (at least compared to banking work)

    Cons

It's banking, hours will be long and the work will sometimes be monotonous. However, if you go in with the mindset that it's going to be a learning experience and you are going to learn a ton, it will be a great experience.

I worked at Evercore Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The partners are good. The pay is good. The exit ops for analysts are good.

    Cons

Banking can be a lot of hours. Its also hard as a junior person, since you don't really control your own schedule.

    Advice to Management

None. Don't think experience could have been any better

    Pros

Smart people and extremely driven culture. There is a very elite feel to working here given the brand recognition on wall street

    Cons

Group selection not as optimized, no brand recognition outside of finance.

I worked at Evercore Partners (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great reputation / compensation / deal flow, second-to-none internship training (not outsourced), a tone of company sponsored summer events that foster teamwork and bonding, caring partners (e.g. a partner told me--during the meeting--to let him know if I can't follow him so that he can slow down, the founder, CEO and COO always greeted interns and everyone kindly on the hallway)

    Cons

This is probably not a con, but there is indeed more responsibility and accordingly more expectations about knowledge on basic-to-intermediate accounting / financial modeling. I personally liked it.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, everyone loves your culture.
