I worked at Evergreen Shipping full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

True management style in the US would be needed.

    Cons

No multi-culturalism. Frictions n tensions are the norm in this company. Poor working environment and conditions. No collaborations/cooperations promoted. Slogans are everywhere. Real implementations are none, mostly flaky.

    Advice to Management

drug testings are absolutely recommended. don't be afraid to fire bad managers n employees. A clean house from top to bottom is needed. Dont ever think employees are stupid n blinded. Stop bragging your health benefits. It's not the only thing to retain talented people.

4 day work weeks. Generous PTO and personal days given. Great benefits. Fast track in gaining management experience. Teaches you to be independent in making major decisions on the fly

    Cons

Minimal room for advancement. No accolades given. You either do your job, or you do your job terribly. If one is offended easily, this place is probably not for you.

    Pros

Great launching pad for a career in logistics and supply chain. The access to a leading product and decision makers in large organizations is unrivaled.

    Cons

Salary increases and promotions are not based on performance but instead are based largely on tenure. As a result, top performers often move on to other opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Create more detailed career paths for top performers and incubate their talents.
