Micromanaged and KPI focused , no exceptions!

      Pros

Work on an international level and get to communicate with customers both small and large from all over. They actually are one of the best in the industry for responsive and helpfulness, but at the expense of overworking employees to keep the reputation of being a "premium carrier". Because it is required to be at the customer's every beckoned call at all times, it makes for some very uncomfy conversations with accounts, which is actually a good skill to learn but feels very slimy at times because you do just have to bend the truth often, while other carriers will just not answer emails or calls from accounts, but customers still seem to always be pissed off because they take their anger from a bad market or shipping time out on you as a sales rep because it is the only human in the market that will actually pick up and talk to them, but does at least cultivate descent skill of damage control communication. Benefits are good and good job security. You would have to really try to get fired I think.

      Cons

Constant panic and miscommunication from above. No questions asked, just do your job, but you have to meet your KPIs and then waste your time typing explanations of why you didn't hit your mark if you dont, leaving you with less time to meet the next KPI, which is often very unreasonable on purpose. Its never enough and its a race to the bottom for those in smaller offices with less market share. Always illogically compared to the big branches with massive market share even if your region objectively has less attainable market share. Evergreen hangs their hat on openly having higher rates for contracts for being a "Premium Carrier" and mostly for having responsive and helpful customer service, except these CS duties often fall on the Sales teams because they simply have to respond while other segments seem to largely ignore customers. Learning curve to the legacy softwares they use for container tracking and info management and it is not a transferable skill at all, so if you stay there for too long, it becomes all you know and what you are comfortable with. long term employees all seem drained and stuck and eventually habitually bend the knee to the managerial feudal lords without questioning anything from above. Terrible managerial structure and culture for todays age.

      Pros

Free company car and great insurance.

      Cons

Unless you speak Mandarin you will not enjoy working here, most (not all) managers are angry micromanagers and only care about your KPI and numbers.
