I have been working at Everyday Health Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everyday Health hires some of best, brightest and savvy people around. Overall laid back culture with a work hard play hard atmosphere. Many within management are very down to earth people who truly care about the concerns of the organization. There is much room for career growth and development.

    Cons

I do sit near a window so seeing the sunset at 4PM is quite depressing :) Otherwise no cons

    Advice to Management

It seems profits are increasing and we have been hiring a talented pool of staff recently. At this point, management should keep up the momentum and also keep employees engaged. The quarterly All-Hands Meeting is very helpful, informative and insightful.

I worked at Everyday Health Group full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Some of the people are good. Good work-life balance. In a town with limited opportunities, it's a paycheck.

      Cons

Little opportunity for growth, unless you are among Management's favorites. Lack of leadership vision. They keep shuffling things around; at least they recognize that things aren't working.

      Advice to Management

Nothing I think they would hear.

I worked at Everyday Health Group full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Benefits are good, free fruit, beer fridge, paid parking spot, some of the people are great to work with.

      Cons

Ageism, a large portion of management are not qualified for their positions, layoffs are always looming, gossip, favoritism, no equality, poor business direction, lack of technical knowledge in leadership.

      Advice to Management

Don't hang values on the wall and expect that to change the culture of the office. Talk to the people doing the work and not the people who just going to give you a rose colored view of how things are going.

Unlimited PTO policy; Decent benefits for medical and dental

      Cons

"My way or the highway" mentality of management. They will make changes without consulting with the affected teams and they really don't care about how it affects productivity or morale.

      Advice to Management

Passive Aggressive Type Management style is not effective in keeping good talent.

I have been working at Everyday Health Group full-time

      Pros

Great leadership is now in place after a long and bumpy road, post aquisition. The tide is turning and it's exciting to be part of the new Everyday Health.

      Cons

The office has several climates so dress in layers... :)

      Advice to Management

Continue to hire great talent and continue to be open and transparent with staff. It is appreciated and goes a long way.

      Pros

Paychecks do not bounce, and they hire some females but not in senior leadership.

      Cons

Leadership is terrible, course, and put employees though silly paces for no revenue benefit.

      Advice to Management

Clean up your team- Swearing at all-hands meeting is just one of the reasons you are rated D+

      Pros

Everyday Health is a strong brand with marketplace potential.

      Cons

The leadership is out of touch, making the role of sales people more difficult. Lots of internal reporting, same information 10 different ways, due to management teams inability to retain and understand the business and the data. The culture around the office is depressing.

      Advice to Management

Focus on the clients. Believe in your people.
