    I have been working at Everyday Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Large IT group/product group. Reasonably good at quickly taking new digital products to market. Good experience for a mid-level software engineer.

    Cons

    Not a people centered company! It is sync or swim with very little on boarding. Salaries are below industry averages and as a result turn-over is super high. Almost impossible to keep a team together for over a year. Very cramped working conditions.

    Pros

    Fantastic W. Village location, great pay, very social environment, approachable CEO's, and well-known online media brands.

    Cons

    Company has grown quickly, too many "middle managers", office politics, and massive turnover within the technology department.

    Advice to Management

    Cut the fat company wide. And retain technical talent.

    I worked at Everyday Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - There are some good employees on a individual level.
    - They are always hiring (but watch out)
    - Unlimited PTO days but they don't allow you to take them.

    Cons

    - Unlimited PTO might sound good but it also means that you don't get paid for unused vacation days when you leave. You do the math.
    - They are constantly hiring and that's because they have a high turnover rate. They seem to have a vile hiring process (heard from recruiters about EH's HR process): rather than hire temp contractors (for short assignments), they bring in people as perm employees to avoid paying hire rate. Once they feel that the employee is not needed, they are quick to get rid of them.
    - Upon termination, they treat you as if you were a terrorist about to plant a bomb in the office. HR and Manager stood next to me, wouldn't even let me say good bye, send email, or speak to my coworkers. They escorted me the whole time and threw me out. I understand that this is just business, and I do understand. But you don't need to treat people like dirt.

    Advice to Management

    Please treat your employees with respect and take care of them, and they will take care of you.
    Employees are not toilet tissue that you use and throw away. Eventually, it will catch up to you.

    Pros

    Technical with robust road map. Very nice technical team with quite good support from product and upper management..Guidance is available from upper level on request

    Cons

    Politics...You need to find your own way to grow in career. You can find sometime moody behaviour from upper level person. But thats something you find everywhere nowadays

    Let people grow..It will help you eventually
