I have been working at Evine full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Have you ever wanted to search with these words "I want to look amazing" or "I want to be amazing", and have it take you to a dream website? Evine should be that result. It is a company that is run by incredible people with the eye on making our Customers the best that they can be. On top of that, it is a great place to work!!

    Cons

We are just entering the HD world. With that, we have so many opportunities for innovative people to shine.

    Advice to Management

Add "I want to look amazing" and "I want to be amazing" to our search engine.

I have been working at Evine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love the overall culture of Evine. The people here are so passionate about what they do and I feel like the Evine team is really driven to ensure the company is successful.

On-site cafeteria with yummy and afordable food options

We hold quarterly company meetings and monthly happy hours to get the entire company together to learn about new and exciting initiatives and spend some time getting to know other team members.

    Cons

Nothing negative to report, great company!

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

I worked at Evine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Pay & Amazing Benefits- Nail, Hair & Clothing Allowance

    Cons

Super fickle and petty. They can be super excited about a product or person & then turn around and squash it as quickly as they became obsessed with it. Severe lack of training or development of comradery. Extremely disorganized and frantic. No direction with identity. Change in CEO multiple times in 5 years. Losing who they are and what they're about. In the 24-7 environment they lack the ability to foresee the future and take time to plot a strategic plan. On the reactive vs proactive. Always playing catch up to their "competitors" of QVC and HSN while those networks don't even consider them playing the same ball-game.

    Advice to Management

Provide hands-on training to your hosts, don't have current hosts who are worried about losing their jobs train new hosts in. Don't train in a new host during your busiest season. Make your expectations clear & your timeline of success succinct with everyone. Provide feedback for every single show- not just when you see a problem. Know the talent you have before you. It's your job to bring it out.

    Pros

Flexible schedule. Great co workers. Work as a team to achieve the same goal, which is to satisfy the customer and make sure they have a good experience with Evine Live.

    Cons

I don't have much to say about the cons. The pay could be more. There isn't much room to advance.

    Advice to Management

    Keep having an open mind.

I worked at Evine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Try'd to bring in activities, to give the atmosphere of interaction within the office setting.

    Cons

Misleading the positions and treating the public aswell as there employees as thou there was know value to them and work you to the point of no respect.

    Advice to Management

When hiring new employees, be real don't lie about the position they will fill, and when bringing in new hires follow thru on your promise, example bring in new employee they stay for 3 months, the one listed to receive the bonus should get the bonus, this company is to wishy washy, and please be on the lookout, not the image they try to protray.

I worked at Evine full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun environment, very fast paced, but also a very unique retail space and experience. A lot to learn about home-shopping, but you also get a little bit of live television understanding, some celebrities visit to be a guest on-air, and in all a vibrant industry. There is never a dull moment!

    Cons

Poor management, leadership, and communication. Unfair workload distribution and pay. There is little to no coaching. High turn-over. Little respect between departments.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to start paying more attention internally. There is high turn-over because there is little respect for strong members of the team, or any team, really. Employees need to have coaching, opportunities to ask questions, positive reinforcement, constructive feedback, and timely delivery of reviews.

    Pros

Varying tasks, always busy, lots to see and learn. Never boring. Good place to start out, and plenty of opportunities for the right people to advance.

    Cons

Starting pay is low, and the work can be difficult and unappreciated. Management is decent, but have high performance standards.

    Advice to Management

Management is decent, but have high performance standards which can be difficult for new and low level employees to achieve. Pay is low and demands are high making it challenging for the best people to stick around long term.

I have been working at Evine full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

health insurance is good, co-workers are amazing, there is a cafeteria on site

    Cons

They do not pay a living wage, yes, it's a call center job but it is so much more, it is the first impression for customers therefore pay more and you will get a more talented pool of employees. Too many reports and too much untrust with employees for no reason. Huge difference between the BG office and home office. Management in BG thinks they are more important than they are and they treat their employees like children. Can't have anything on their desk, can't speak up about anything where in EP management mostly is kind and friendly and interested in what employees have to say and seem to have more trust in their employees. But this pay is ridiculous. 12 dollars an hour to get people off the phone as fast as possible instead of giving quality service, helping some older customers find product or pay their bills is not something they are interested in, it's sad...and the amount of shipping they charge is insane, understandable why customers get frustrated when they want to buy a bunch of things and it's 6.99 shipping on every item. Terrible

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the management mentality in BG, get them off their high horses, it's not that big of a deal that they are a manager of a call center, it isn't like that is a dream career for anyone. Management in EP is good. Stop watching where your people are every single second and learn to trust them more, you will get better production out of people if they feel they are trusted and valued, no one wants to do a good job for people that treat you like crap
