I worked at Evine full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Teamwork (on solidarity with same or next level staff), full-time hours, benefits after 90 days, in-house training and access to continued training after completed.

      Cons

the policies are set up to inconvenience and confuse customers - although staff who work customer service are trained on how to reply to concerns, the time restraints placed on agents can be unrealistic when dealing with the target demographic (elderly/disabled/homebound) especially given that a lot of the customers live in assisted living facilities and don't really get an opportunity to speak to outside people very...

      Advice to Management

Get real: TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS BEFORE PATTING EACH OTHER ON THE BACK AND SAYING GOOD JOB. SUPPORT: Agents at home have very few resources for assistance (customer issue assistance and tech support), not that in house agents have much more support. At home agents should be issued computers for working along with the phone that is issued. There are no istructions for setting up your home office and when "computer...

      I worked at Evine

      Pros

The people (excluding clueless senior management)

      Cons

TV retail is a dying business. Need proof? Look at Evine’s latest quarterly investor release. Year to date, active customers are down 10% (ouch!) along with profit margins and a handful of other stats, including EBITDA. No wonder the company’s share value lost close to 40% in a single day on November 28, 2018. Meanwhile, the clueless executive team fails to get the business “basics” right, focusing only on shiny objects...

I have been working at Evine full-time for more than 4 years

        Pros

The company is always changing and always working to adjust to the ever changing retail landscape. The company is growing and making a lot of positive changes for it's customers as well as employees. We do a lot to come together as a team, like quarterly company Happy Hours. The live studios make the building a fun and exciting place to work. Overall, Evine is a great place to work. There is such a great group of...

I worked at Evine full-time for more than 20 years

        Pros

The money is good and this is such a niche business you feel like it’s hard to leave

        Cons

You won’t be valued because management changes constantly and they are busy trying to change things to stay afloat- so employee satisfaction goes down the drain If you aren’t managements favorite by saying everything they’re doing is amazing, then you’re screwed. Stand by and watch the new hires become the superstars while you are pushed aside and diminished on a daily basis- if you are used to being told you’re not...

        Advice to Management

Start valuing your employees and not just your new hires who have no clue. There is a lot of knowledge if you care to listen- or are you too busy wanting everyone to be positive and to lie to you about how it’s going? Put your customers first because they have great things to say but you’re not in touch with them. Oh and upper executives & buyers need to take a pay cut- a 4 day work week isn’t up to par for an executive...
