    Pros

Good people in customer service, it's what kept me going back for over 5 years.

    Cons

Poor hours, no flexibility, bad upper management. The company was way too top heavy with VPs, directors, managers, etc. and paid the lower class employees poorly. Recognition unless you're in a top department is non existent. People in positions to make decisions and changes to process had little to no understanding of the job or how the changes made would affect everyone, including customers. Snap decisions were constantly made to fix issues in the interim, with no forethought to the future or a permanent solution.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your front line staff. Make informed decisions, her upper level management more involved in the customer aspect so they understand what their employees and customers want

I have been working at Evine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

On Site cafeteria, 30% employee discount

    Cons

In order to get promoted you have to be buddy buddy with all the Supervisors and even the ones in Order Capture, which they do not have any impact on your job. Does not matter if your the top of your team or dept. if you do not brown nose you will not move up. QA is always trying to doc points when they listen to your phone calls for grading. Dept. morale is low and the culture is not fun. They have not had a full dept meeting in years except one tomorrow.

    Advice to Management

You need to actually support the team members and get rid of the dead weight management. CS culture needs to be revamped so people can actually like their jobs even though customers yell at them all day.

    I worked at Evine full-time

    Pros

Great company if you're innovative and want to make an impact. My work-life balance was fantastic, but it varies by department.

    Cons

Lack of stability in leadership, multiple leaders with poor performance shouldn't have jobs there. No clear goals, or culture.

    Pros

Great people to work with, even the supervisors. Equipment is ok software work well for what it is . Made a lot of friends

    Cons

Promotions are done by popularity more so than qualification and you don't have any opportunity to showcase your talents. In 18 months no raise.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent in how the promotion policy works. Improve communication between management and front line employees

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Evine full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the few good things is the employee discount. I've made great friends there who unfortunately also either quit or had horrible experiences there.

    Cons

There are many! First off the HR dept is known around the company as a complete joke. Recently major turnover. No follow up when you email them. Management is out of touch, walks around like everything is fine and not at all concerned with major problems at hand. There are a lot of older managers that have been there since ShopNBC, ShopHQ days and are not at all tech savvy, can't keep up with current technology, and horrible with interviewing. Evine is known for having positions posted for months and months which is a huge red flag. Countless times they have interviewed then decide to not hire anyone as they change the posting or what they are looking for. QA and Merch dept is bad at that. Unstable company that stock prices have plummeted from $6/share to around .40 cents/share. Morale is very low, you can see it on the faces in the hallways and in cafe. Very cliquey, people only talk or hang out with people in their dept. Pay raises not distributed until months after they were approved.

    Advice to Management

Trim out the unnecessary staff upstairs with presidents office and QA and CS trainers. Get rid of the older bad managers in depts that are bringing the place down and soaking up company money. Bring in new fresh faces to manage. Younger, more tech savvy management. Stop spending money on ridiculous things. HR needs major overhaul. Listen and look at the major internal problems Evine has. Stop putting band aids over problems, look for real solutions. Don't have recruiters hire people from the talent network on Evine.com, then stick in a dept with no chance at growing their talents. Many mistakes in BG at returns warehouse, take a good look at BG staffing.

I have been working at Evine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay and benefits are solid, generous vacation time, great employee discount (if you can find anything worth buying). Casual dress code every day.

    Cons

This is a home shopping network, which is an outdated concept. Similarly, they employ outdated methods of management and technology. People waste paper like crazy and print PowerPoint presentations for meetings. Almost none of the conference rooms have presentation technology. It's embarrassing having vendors come to our campus because they can't display anything or run demos. All of the technology here is 15 years old or older. Nobody has laptops, and the work spaces are cramped and claustrophobic.

The work life balance stinks. My boss has "reprimanded" me for being sick 2 days in a row, and also for taking time off for vacation. I feel like if they had their way, we'd all get zero vacation, and work 60 hour weeks.

    Advice to Management

Invest in technology, and try to draw in a younger and more innovative work force! Just because you are selling things in an outdated medium, doesn't mean your employees should have to work on outdated technology to support it.

I have been working at Evine full-time

    Pros

Friendly people, innovation is encouraged, customer-focused and a great variety of products offered to meet many customer needs

    Cons

Lack of stability in Executive leadership, sometimes can be stuck in legacy thought processes, but that is slowly starting to disappear.

    Advice to Management

No advise to the management team, other than let's get a new CEO in place that has a clear vision for the company moving forward, and how we transition more into the digital age vs. on air age.
