I have been working at Evolent Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits including 25 vacation/sick days, healthcare, dental, yearly performance bonuses, etc. Modern office with raisable desks, all-glass meeting rooms, decent cafeteria spaces, large outdoor patio, private rooms for relaxation/meditation/whatever, pool table, and treadmill desks.

    Cons

Can get quite bureaucratic and political at times with upper management.

    Advice to Management

Be more involved with what your employees are working on, it can be tough at times when a manager can be so distant that they become unapproachable.

A few good people with real talent. Training was great, very professional lady

    Cons

Leadership top heavy, all with own rules for car's. PTO requires approval of 3 people, scheduler will make up own rules, supervisors make up rules, then all come down on you

    Advice to Management

Evaluation of leadership is a must!!!!

I have been working at Evolent Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are pretty good, 401k matching is nice and quite a bit of PTO.

    Cons

Although you get 25 days of PTO, it's not a guarantee you get to use them. Often expected to join conference calls while on PTO. There is alot of turn over mostly due to the stressful working enviroment.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what's making your employees leave.

    "Non Exempt"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Evolent Health full-time

    Pros

They want to make a difference.

    Cons

Beware if you are hired as hourly non exempt. There is deception in what this company has written in the employee handbook and onboarding meetings regarding receiving timely paychecks. They write and say your "payperiod" is every two weeks but your actual paycheck is paid semi-monthly and can be delayed up to 3 weeks before you receive a paycheck for the time you work. This puts a lot of unnecessary strain on non exempt employees budgeting their cash flow. If you are hired in January, you have to wait 5 MONTHS before you receive your missing pay. Exempt employees have a better deal and get paid in real-time without any delay in pay for time worked. This scheme is solely for HR convenience and does not benefit the non exempt employee in any way. As huge as this company is the HR payroll staff are too lazy to put 2 pay schedules in place like every other company in America who have both exempt and none exempt employees. It's not that hard, people! You want to be "edgy" and "forward thinking" but in this area of the business, you are NOT.

    Advice to Management

Option 1)Implement 2 pay systems, one for exempt and one for non-exempt employees. Put hourly non exempt employees on a universally accepted 26 payperiod cycle so they are paid in a timely manner.
Option 2) Hire everyone as exempt so they will fit conveniently into your semi monthly pay schedule,

I worked at Evolent Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is a lot of autonomy, flexible schedule as long as meeting metrics, good benefits, very competitive salary, able to work remotely

    Cons

Many times unable to use PTO even though you have it, somewhat unrealistic expectations, say they promote work life balance but very dependent on the market you’re working in

    Advice to Management

Standardize across markets, listen and act on what you’re being told by employees
