    Pros

    Company has tried to get into new area but not very successfully. One of the companies cebatech was looking for just about anyone who'd buy it as it was on life support for the last 5 years. exar has been relatively free of issues but cebatech has had a history of questionable business practices. Some of the character issues of jampalar are already exposed despite a lot of work in hiding of footprints. Management of exar should have been more diligent to let a pos as ramanaj into the company. This is true especially as cebatech was worthless before the buy. Good luck to the exar.

    some new business development people. more diligence needed in adding new staff and software. Need for good business practices

    I have been working at Exar full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    There are still some truly outstanding people hanging in there trying to make it happen that bring that joy to the job daily. There's enough money left in the bank to make the wide product offering coalesce into a valuable company if spent properly. Most management is flexible with work hours and even allow some work from home. Location is good.

    Cons

    A lot of the rest of the outstanding people are leaving for other jobs rapidly or already have. Morale is hurting. The string of recent acquisitions have no common focus and are spreading thin resources around even more. There is no obvious reinvestment in the staff. Depending on your direct management there is quite a bit of politics and abuse. It's just very obvious we're buying revenue with the acquisitions instead of trying to build something. The senior staff are overstaffed and all in place to benefit when/if their is an end-game so career growth is stymied for most everyone else.

    Advice to Management

    Increase your communication to your employees on a daily basis. Reinvest in them with higher salaries, significant (not token) stock grants and RSUs to retain them, and more heads to get the work done. Not more VPs please. If you ignore your team, then your team will leave.

    Pros

    Not much to report on pros. They have a sports field where you can play soccer. The benefits are competitive.

    Cons

    The current management does not have any intention to create a stable or viable company. I am certain they would sell to whomever would buy the company. The expectation of existing employees is over the top.

    Advice to Management

    Give up trying to just make the company look good and try to build a real company that has vision.

    Pros

    Benefits are reasonable but not great.

    Cons

    Very very negative and accusatory environment. No encouragement for creative people to express ideas and improvements.

    Advice to Management

    Institute review of managers by those who report to them. Talented people will not work here unless this happens. Also when you committ to a legal agreement have integrity and honor it. Backing out of signed legal agreements will ultimately lead to disastrous results.

    Hard work appreciated by US

    No matter how gd you are, you wl be remain unappreciated if mgt doesnt like you
    Retrench as they like bt favourable towards own kind
    Lack of tech support to resolve issues n to hv perm solutions
    With changeover, none is happy n simply counting days or looking for surprises when wl get retrenched.

    Pros

    Well you can catch everything about this company cause this company is too small. You can have a very serious call right away if you make something wrong or good

    Cons

    Realize yourself cheap one along with this company. Don't have benefits to employees you must be good at math anyway

    convenient location, great team of people, supportive staff, good facilities and tools support, clean and quiet office, ample parking spaces

    Cons

    bad management, senior managers did not understand what were the issues, making decisions in the office, not knowing what is outside

    listen to employees, those actually work hard

    Pros

    Some interesting products, that can be competitive
    Some good dedicated people
    New products are starting to come out that should help in the future. Many trying to improve some of these aspects but little support from management.

    Cons

    Very few Sales people left.
    No Marketing people left
    No Brand in the Market
    4 unpaid days off every qtr.
    Lots of new people from acquisitions, some culture clashes going on.
    Many good employees are still being laid off or leaving.

    Advice to Management

    Sell quickly, business is being starved.
