I have been working at Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) full-time

    Pros

Great people, good work environment, excellent hours and time-off. There are so many opportunities for education, learning, and growth. The camaraderie is unmatched. On any given week we have donuts, a birthday celebration, a group photo, or other gathering. Coworkers go to lunch together, have happy hour, and help each other with regular tasks.

    Cons

As with many government offices our technology is behind the times. Sad but true.

    Pros

Pay, prestige of working for the USAO, training opportunities, the National Advocacy Center (NAC), lateral and promotion opportunities within the Department of Justice, and the opportunity to meet some really smart individuals

    Cons

Inability of management to make decisions, quality of worklife balance, not having a telecommuting policy in place, lack of promotion opportunities for non-attorney employees, inconsistency in policy, lack of managerial diversity, and frequent managerial turnover

    Advice to Management

Increase the flow of communication between management and the support staff so they feel informed and valued, and create a Diversity policy.
