I worked at Exertis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The incentives are really good from vendors, Dell and Fujitsu will bring in games and hire restaurants for lunch time. The new GSM for general south is good and compassionate, she will help you grow.

    Cons

It’s not for everyone... it can be quite tiring and draining to be shouted at all the time. Depending on the area you’re working in, can be quite stressful with your team. Some managers should have never been managers and it’s all about company politics! You can solve 100 problems in one day but you are only as good as your number/target.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate some of the managers you have - the number isn’t the only thing you should look at. Most managers have little to no idea how to run a team.

I worked at Exertis full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work with really nice people. Small and cozy most of the times. Management tend to understand what is short term goal and long term goals.

    Cons

Salaries are really low for general employees. No carrier path, you will be stuck at same position for years. Project management is very shallow and incompetent.

I worked at Exertis full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Commission Structure Incentives Earning potential Great place to learn the trade

    Cons

Account managers have heavy workload - unsustainable Poor Commercial Support for Sales Strong Clique - hard to succeed unless you're part of it. Too much deadwood - long term staff are complacent and lazy Progression is limited

    Advice to Management

Promote hungry sales people before they leave. Commercial division needs a shake up, not very proactive. Address clique culture before you lose more key staff

I worked at Exertis full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great spiff week for Christmas, lots of sales activities and incentives for top sales person of the days (only BD team won because they covered most customers selling all products)

    Cons

No investment in quiet staff members who are making great sales, in order to be noticed you have to be loud and proud. Before the move from London to Essex the redundancy period was very unorganised and quite messy

    Advice to Management

Speak to your staff, quiet or loud they all make a difference and have ideas of how to make the experience more pleasant for everyone.
