    Pros

The culture is incredible. The company cares about employees and fosters work/life balance. Many growth opportunities.

    Cons

I have been working at Expedia (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Regular 'town hall' meetings led by CEO/CFO, meetings with senior leadership, and immediate leadership. Expedia really takes care of their employees, and everyone at the company has a passion for what they do, and for making travel possible.

    Cons

Some teams have very unrealistic workload expectations. Sometimes get the sense that initiatives/processes weren't fully thought through before they were rolled out.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time sitting with employees to really get a sense of the day to day. We all very much appreciate when our senior leadership visits various offices, but they need to do more than have one-on-ones with employees and take them out to lunch or dinner as a team.

I have been working at Expedia full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It's a great company, some perks, and culturally diverse. There's always something going on with giving back to the community, celebrations of different cultures. It's a fun place.

    Cons

Fast paced environment, seems like there is never enough headcount for the areas that need it. Work life balance can be a struggle if you want a life out work.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote people who are not management material, managers must have people skills.

    Pros

Fun atmosphere and smart people with "work hard play hard" mentality. Great benefits. Great training and development.

    Cons

Generally need to be willing to relocate in order to progress. Pay not super competitive. Politics sometimes outweigh merit in hiring/promoting decisions.

    Advice to Management

More flexible scheduling / work from home opportunities.
