I have been working at Expeditors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Salary's good, until they decide it isn't.

    Cons

Not competitive with any other IT organization in Seattle.

    Advice to Management

Encourage education and training. You're so far behind the curve you may be setting a Guinness Book of Records on mid-size companies who are too antiquated to succeed at anything. The shipping industry is passing you up. College degrees? Yeah. You might want to consider that as an asset. Your values are completely false.

    I worked at Expeditors full-time

    Pros

Co-workers are all down to earth and willing to help when you have questions.

    Cons

Management doesn't care about the employees, they only care about their bonus. They claim to never have to lay off employees -real reason there are no lay offs is because everyone quits because of the poor working environment. If you didn't attend Cal State Long Beach or are a part of a certain group of friends then don't expect to move up in the company.

    Advice to Management

Pay us a living wage for California not some state in the middle of now where.

I worked at Expeditors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good, for now. Pay is decent. Most peers are decent people to work with.

    Cons

Too much favoritism. Way too many family members working with and for each other. If you're not in the clique, or hired direct as a manager, you're probably not going to do well.

    Advice to Management

Treat the lower employees better. Give bonuses, raises and even a simple pat on the back once in a while.
