I have been working at Expeditors full-time

    Pros

Every changing environment, good vacation and benefits

    Cons

Terrible pay for the market here in Seattle. I understand it's entry level, but even the raises after a year aren't up to par.

    Advice to Management

You make over 6 million in revenue per year and your entry level is still 20k below the market.

I have been working at Expeditors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits ( 401 k , health insurance PPO, stock purchase plan)

    Cons

Managers and Supervisors only lookout for their own benefits and bonuses. A lot of politics to get your training done and to be able to move up.

    Advice to Management

Look down to your staff and give them the proper reward (better salary, bonuses and rewards) they are the ones that actually move this company.

I have been working at Expeditors full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Always a sense of accomplishment at the end of the work day, and the benefits package is great (fully paid for employee health care, bus pass, 401k, etc.) No expectation of working late or weekends, which is modeled by the executives and management. Good culture of working hard and playing hard as well.

    Cons

Not competitive pay for Seattle- need to keep up with the times. Also, the IS department was given the option of a flexible work-week schedule, but not the rest of the company which wasn't fair. Should be extended to all people. Nepotism reigns supreme. The hardest worker is not always rewarded- sometimes its the relative, which can be demoralizing.

    Advice to Management

Give the option to work from home, or flexible schedule for all employees. Pay more to retain talent.

I have been working at Expeditors (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent support from management to explore career opportunities within the company and gain experience. Always being challenged to learn different aspects of the business. Overall great company for growth.

    Cons

Not sure if this is really a con- but if you want the best opportunities you need to be willing and able to move when openings arise.

    Advice to Management

    Keep consistent with performance reviews.

I worked at Expeditors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits, work-life balance, training, location

    Cons

Legacy systems issues, dress code, sleepy

    Advice to Management

You're trying, it shows, and it's appreciated. But trying isn't going to be enough to retain the keepers, especially for an increasingly tech-based company that's in a booming tech city.

    Pros

Work life balance. People are very professional and take pride in their work.

    Cons

No virtual work. For some, the business professional dress code can be a con but I don't mind it.
