I have been working at Express Scripts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits and average pay. Work at home is good if you have it available in your department. More supervisors who care than those who don't.

    Cons

There is no such thing as having a schedule that you were hired to work. There are schedule bids constantly and your tenure means nothing!

    Advice to Management

Stop putting your workforce up in arms every 6 months with schedule bids. I know business needs change but if staffing plans can't be any better than they are, failure will be inevitable.

    Pros

ESI is horrible. If you want to be under paid, be super stressed, don't have a life, feel like you have to rude and love taking Xanax then ESI is the place too be! Turn over rate is high and no suck time 0.30 raises and who ever makes up this organization are straight "*****! They don't know how or what to run a business and communication, micromanaging and no sense rules they have are made for a robot not a human. Please run. Don't apply. They are horrible and management is a joke and won't help you.

    Cons

Everything all wrong, run don't look back.

    Advice to Management

Shut down and re evaluate the company and stop being greedy crooks. Stop making ever about a $$$$ and making yourself rich and the workers poor and money, no life no benefits

    Pros

When I first started at ESI, the upper leadership seemed to care about there employees.

    Cons

You can be a stretch employee for 10years + but when it comes to cutting the old mighty dollar they don't care how many valuable people they will let go they just let them go.
I had planned on retiring from ESI but they had a different plan.

    Advice to Management

Keep your valuable people, reevaluate your reduction in force process.

    Pros

Solid company, room to grow if you like corporate stuff.

    Cons

Weak management. Both managers I had were incredibly weak. Ask questions, first one would simply write back a crappy email, asking me what the answer was, since she didn't know. Act like she was training me by making me go find answers. But she got promoted. 2nd manager was so scared he would whisper on the phone, since he didn't want to have anyone at corporate hear him. Again, could not answer questions, umm, let me get back to you that, then never would. Again, he was promoted as well.

    Advice to Management

None, you don't listen to it anyway.

    Pros

Company offers benefits to the new employee starting on day one.

    Cons

Company places no value in long term employees. There is no incentive or reason to stick around. Their policies favor only the new employee. High turnover in management; unstable environment. Move on as soon as you can.

    Advice to Management

You need to listen to employees when they tell you what is wrong , especially when they offer a solution to the problem. You pretend to listen and to care but it boils down to a facade.

I have been working at Express Scripts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You do get to work form home, which saves money on commuting, gas money, work clothing, and office drama. When it is slow, they offer VTO-unpaid time off the phones.

    Cons

Everything else-the pay is $12 an hour, which is way too low for the broad knowledge you have to learn, the patience to deal with irate callers, and the back to back calls all day. After training, it's all about metrics-they track your use of any personal time, how closely you adhere to breaks and lunches, and how often you call for assistance with questions. It is very Big Brother. And no matter how rude a customer is, you are not allowed to hang up on them or offer a supervisor transfer. Too much stress for too little money, in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

Stop all the negative emails all day showing what we need to improve on; give positive feedback instead. Offer more time off the phones for talking with managers and giving feedback on calls and processes. Give longer lunch breaks, and above all-pay a higher wage. This job is worth at least $15 an hour.
