    Pros

Good 401k plan, salary and vacation benefit

    Cons

Internal drama and struggles - senior leaders that are poisonous yet remain or get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your middle management leaders that have experience at ESI - ask them how to make improvements - let them have a voice.

I have been working at Express Scripts full-time

    Pros

    Lots to learn, constantly challenging.

    Cons

With every reorganization staff just keeps getting cut, and cut and cut some more and then you are asked to cover even more when you are already working crazy hours. Low concern for employees who are struggling to keep everything afloat for with long hours and low pay scale.

    Advice to Management

The year after year attitude by senior management of doing more with less is straining your staff right now and eventually is going to cause a serious problem with project misses (which are serious in any health related company) Choose your priorities, but then you also have to stop expecting the low priority work to get done if you are not providing the staff to do it all. Manage your priorities across all lines of business.

I worked at Express Scripts full-time

    Pros

Benefits, people working along side. cafeteria.

    Cons

pay relativly low. Benefits have been cut back a bit, but still pretty generous.

    Advice to Management

Don't always make annual review time to take time looking at headcount and see which extraction will save $$. These are people whose dreams are held by the hands of the shareholders. it would be different if they had to meet face to face: maybe then they'd extend their own compassion to a woman just shy of 59, with two kids in college and a mortgage rather than a salary plus benefits that needs to be cut so the dividends are healthy!

I have been working at Express Scripts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

To see how bad a job can be so when you get fired or quit you will have a greater appreciation of companies that value human beings.

    Cons

    Ridiculously poor training program
    Micro management
    Dehumanizing environment
IT infrastructure has so many flaws that effects all employees and customers.

    Advice to Management

Your not a leader because you hold a leadership position that requires people to follow you- so people only give the minimum that is required- a true leader cares about their people so the people not only want to follow you but they give more and excel so everybody wins.
