I have been working at Express Scripts full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good Benefits and Most Coworkers are Pleasant

    Cons

MICROMANAGED!!, Company Does Not Value Employees and Despises Employees with Disabilities, Tenure Means Nothing Despite the Ridiculously High Turnover, Low Morale, No Work-Life Balance, HR is useless, Employees are Expected to Worship the Company with Nothing in Return, Company is Reactive Instead of Proactive (they wait until a disaster happens to do anything about it because they don’t want to spend any... unnecessary money to possibly prevent issues, and also in part because no one really knows what’s actually going on at any given time), There Are Too Many People Without Experience (that don’t know how things work) Trying to Run the Business (without any input from employees that actually do the jobs), The Company Claims to Care About Patients and Clients, But It’s Really Just About Numbers and Profits, Senior Management is Clueless and Don’t Care How Horribly Current and Former Employees are/were Treated, As Long as They Get to Put Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars in Their Pockets Every Year, and Despite Being a Multi-Billion Dollar Company, Employees Get Cheated Out of Raises and Year-End Holiday Gifts (not even so much as a paper card), and We Can’t Get New, Clean, and/or Functional Supplies Needed to Perform Our Jobs

Employees Could Probably Run the Day-to-Day Business Operations Better Themselves, Without Management Interference

I worked at Express Scripts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Pays Ok - Ability to work from home; though this varies from team to team - Good benefits especially PTO for corporate employees - Very stable business model with no exciting changes

    Cons

    - Minimal Guidance & Training: Don't expect any guidance or technical resource supporting your role; management just wants you to start producing numbers for them instead of giving you development opportunities. Minimal training is given and the rest is on you to figure everything out. - Bureaucracy & Favoritism: Bureaucracy is all over the place here. There are probably more VPs in some departments... than analysts which is laughable. If you want to survive here, kiss up the CORRECT higher-up will help you a long way. You will get fast tracked in your career by becoming their favorites; however if you are not one of those favorites, you are out of luck & will stay in your position probably forever. - No accountability: With the bureaucracy they had over here it's more important to make sure your boss & your boss's boss look good than doing actual work so people would make up numbers and nobody would want to do any implementation on anything. Plus nobody checks on whether your number is correct or not, so fake it until you make it (& nobody will ever make it)! - Siloed working environment: A lot of teams work in huge silos even sub-teams within the same org don't talk to each other. Nobody knows what's going on with the other group. This basically makes collaboration impossible.

I have been working at Express Scripts full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good benefits, competitive salary, allowed to work remote

    Cons

Hectic pace of work, heavy workload, non-stop meetings, training only available via internal courses (external certifications you must pay yourself).

    Advice to Management

Hire and promote more from within the company, listen to your employees about heavy workload and unreasonable demands on staff

I worked at Express Scripts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Enjoyed the work, raised the pay scale, flex program, good benefits

    Cons

Lack of consistency when it comes to rules, flex program is not run properly which causes dissent in the department, employee favoritism, extremely toxic work environment

    Advice to Management

Focus on taking time to know what each employee brings to the table. Stop with the favoritism and treat employees fairly. There is a lack of respect in Bulk and Prep Department that is never truly addressed. It creates an abusive, toxic work environment

    Pros

Good benefits, raises equal to effort put forward, friendly work force

    Cons

Constantly changing expectations, occasional forced job function changes, trending towards too much emphasis on speed over quality.

    Advice to Management

Tone down the speed requirements, some of them are ridiculous.
