Great place to work until PE destroyed the values of the company.

The orgins of the company were wonderful with an amazing go-to-market plan. The product and people were a dynamic duo!
Cons
Everything since the merger ran a-foul of the vision the founded ExtraHop. The company was started to "make a difference!" The PE change the heart if ExtraHop to "make a buck." And with that short sighted vision plan they brought in leaders and staff from EVERY other failed cyber security company that had a pluse. Forgetting that people and relationships are the key to a successful business plan. They focused on excel spread sheets and forgot the human toll that is overlooked in Excell.

Engineering Forward
Mar 13, 2016 - Software Development Engineer in Seattle, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Technical founders (that wrote a significant amount of code!) means business strategy is realistic and intelligent with respect to the product. - Managers with engineering backgrounds means tasks and deadlines are reasonable without the need to negotiate (SO nice). - Culture has a focus on learning, experimentation and positivity (no jerks allowed). - Very few meetings. - Great work/life balance (no need to check email away from the office). - Senior members of the team are very approachable. - Really fun, positive people. - A cool product with lots of potential for growth!
Cons
- Too many acronyms. - Difficult to maintain the close-knit feel as the company grows.

Great small company where employees are doing high impact meaningful work.
Mar 30, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Seattle, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Curiosity, excellence and relationships define the culture - Everyone pitches in to help everyone else - Great product that customers love - Leadership team works as a team to do what is best for the business
Cons
- Growing rapidly - which has inherent challenges - Fast pace and big impact/autonomy is not for everyone - Roles require the ability to build strong relationships, detail orientation and great project management skills to follow up.

Pros
Great company with great people. The company is growing like crazy and still has a ton of upside. The growth is driven by a great product that is a technological leap above anything else on the market and truly cutting edge.
Cons
Crazy growth brings growing pains. The company is hitting some bumps in the road to success as the team grows at an exponential rate.

Happy place to work!
Nov 8, 2018 - Software Engineer in Seattle, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I've worked at several companies in the past, and this one is by far the best place. Everyone is very nice and welcoming, there are no office politics, and the work environment is very relaxing. I just feel very happy to be here and to work with a team that really cares about each other and the product!
Cons
Catered lunch once a week would be nice!

Pros
EH is a very inclusive company and it's a fantastic culture. People here are very smart and the product is leading the way for good reason. Having the co-founders at the helm and seeing their passion shine through is what makes everything feel special. Oh, and unlimited PTO here really means unlimited. As long as you get your work done, you can take vacation any time!
Cons
Benefits could be better; there is no 401k match which is disappointing to see given what other tech companies offer. Very little upward mobility for inside sales.

Fantastic product, mediocre leadership
May 23, 2017 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- The product is truly innovative - If you want to solve really difficult technical problems, this place is for you.
Cons
- Senior leadership focuses on technology, not people. - Hiring senior leaders doesn't appear to be a priority. Sales have been without a leader for over a year.

Pros
The ExtraHop platform is fantastic. Customers love the product. Support, services, and product teams are all outstanding - everyone cares about customer success and the success of the organization. Corporate is right downtown Seattle, well located. ExtraHop focuses on company culture and creating a fun work environment, down to four rotating kegs and a large common space with ping pong and video games.
Cons
ExtraHop is a fast growing company, bring your sense of humor, patience, and willingness to dig in.

Excellent place to work
Jun 9, 2018 - Senior Software Engineer in Seattle, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
* Building a product used by dozens of world's top companies * Flexible work hours * Unlimited vacation * Located in Seattle's shopping district * One block from Westlake Light Rail station * Nice view
Cons
* Although better than other companies, more time should be allocated to address tech debt
