I worked at Extreme Pita part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's small for a global food company, access to leadership was easy.

    Cons

Their menu needed some tweaking but they never listened.

    Advice to Management

Take advice and requests more seriously.

    Pros

Work isn't that demanding. Mostly as a supervisor, you are dealing with customers and preventing problems from occurring. Better pay and better food than most fast food establishments. Doesn't have you leaving with a "fried" smell.

    Cons

Corporate doesn't understand the needs of individual stores. Seems distant from franchisee, but it could just be the company is based in Canada and the location was in New England.

    Advice to Management

The money you spend on portioning with labor hours would be saved if you found a way to make a "small" and "regular" scooper.

I worked at Extreme Pita part-time

    Pros

    Fun group of coworkers
Decent employee discounts on food and drink
    Management easy to talk to
    Transparent management

    Cons

Management didn't always know what they were doing (I worked delivery most of the time just because I had a car, but was hired for food prep)
Easy for employees to abuse the system (long breaks/rogue deliverypeople hanging out at home for 20 mins at a time)

    Advice to Management

Keep running a healthy company and maybe give your managers some training courses before they start, or have better employee accounrtability

I worked at Extreme Pita full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You were allowed 50% off one item a day as long as it wasn't expensive. Ex. A pop

    Cons

*** this review is not for a Toronto location. I do not feel comfortable disclosing the location as the owners are very revenge seeking*****
There's a lot of things wrong with this place. The owners gossip to you about other employees and try to pin you against each other. They're very revenge seeking so I won't mention the location, but let's just say it's near GTA, ON. The owners got mad if an employee messed up a pita, and would make them hide the food they messed up with, until the customers left. Then they'd force them to put it back in with the clean food. No one wears gloves, no one knows what they're doing, and I was one of the only employees who could speak English. I have nothing against non English speakers, but it made me have to do 2 jobs when they put them on cash and me on the grill or prep. They have insane rules, and they make you do a ton of stuff to cover things up before health inspections. They get mad at you if you can't come into an unscheduled shift 30 min before it. So glad I quit.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better! No wonder you have such a high turn over rate. Stop trying to save money by doing illegal things.

I worked at Extreme Pita full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun place to work. Great for people new to industry. Really good food! Always fresh veggies and sauces

    Cons

Franchise managers were becoming overly strict and really dragging down morale.

    Advice to Management

Even though less senior staff are only making minimum wage they are people too and should be treated as such!

    Pros

Small team. Owner didn't work at the location, managers were also younger and in school and were nice about scheduling because we all got to know each other.

    Cons

Not allowed to take tips. Had to refuse them from customers who insisted.

    Advice to Management

    None
