    Pros

Job stability, Pay, and workplace flexibility. If you would like to specialize, you can do well in your niche

    Cons

Employees have little to no influence on/ownership of career since it's planned for you in secret by management; career paths tend to be narrow.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention and integrate the things that provide rewarding careers to the next generation of leaders, i.e. millennials

    Pros

Great starting salary. Awesome benefits. Challenging but rewarding assignments (for the most part). Strong safety culture. Global presence. A+ people.

    Cons

Can be a high stress and very competitive environment. Not enough or significant raises. Everyone wants to be a manager but organizations are rather flat. Travel opportunities often limited.

    I worked at ExxonMobil full-time

    Pros

Great salary and benefits. Challenging and fulfilling work. Great people.

    Cons

Not much of a work/life balance. The "performance driven" employee ranking system is political, corrupt and unjust. No bonuses for most employees.

    Advice to Management

Do not be naive to the system of privilege and oppression that is in place.

I have been working at ExxonMobil full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great new campus with many amenities.

    Extensive relocation assistance.

    Role rotations every ~2 years.

Mid level management puts in excessive hours and expects subordinates to do the same.

You aren't told what role you have until months after you accept ano offer of employment.

Work environment is homogenous and the company culture is uptight.

    Lacks diversity.

    Forced ranking system.

I worked at ExxonMobil (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked with very smart people. They were all hard working and it was truly a learning experience

    Advice to Management

Learn how to be a better manager. Read books.
