I have been working at Eze Castle Integration full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Eze Castle Integration is a great place to work with friendly staff that love what they do. The company management staff has taken great steps to show that employee success is their primary focus because if the employees do well, so does the company and it's clients. Organically growing staff knowledge through various training offerings, team building exercises, and exciting holiday events keep me highly engaged. The growth and transformation of this once small managed service provider into an industry leader is amazing and I am glad to be a part of such a dynamic company.

    Cons

Vacation time and sick days are grouped together, limited project management team capabilities, weak functional matrix organization requires constant interdepartmental requests to complete projects.

    Advice to Management

Streamline the implementation teams and have a separate group of engineers that are specialized in our product offerings implementations. Communicate and plan corporate environment changes with more detail. Strategic planning should come before corporate deployment. Incorporate some more pilot programs for testing the plan before rolling out large scale business impacting corporate environmental changes.

    Pros

Awesome colleagues, very knowledgeable workplace, lots of chances for OT, plenty of learning opportunities, free beer on Thursdays

    Cons

Having to punch in/out, all time has to be accounted for due to being hourly, confusing directions/decisions by management sometimes

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your engineers and employees, they are your biggest asset.

I was part of the back end office team at ECI and really enjoyed it. They have a work hard play hard mentality and the work/life balance is great.

    Cons

Not too many from my point of view

    Pros

The general employees are all easily to get along with. You are able to learn quickly with some of the latest technology and able to get a good hands-on experience working in one of the most demanding jobs around. Everyone is willing to help each other out to resolve an issue.

    Cons

There is no work/life balance. Many employees regardless of their role is often tasked with working long hours to accomplish their workload. The compensation (both hourly rate and benefits package) are not up to industry standards, even for an MSP. This leads to a major problem of inability to retain talent. The high turn-around of experienced employees and lack of proper training of new hires, documentation, and process standards leaves a lot on the shoulders of those who stay or join up further contributing to the cycle of talent loss. Although the upper management feel they have an open door policy, there is a difference between their perceived listening to their employees and the actions being taken. From people in a non-manager position, it really looks like it is in one ear and out the other.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. Work to make them happy and keep them on board, and I do not mean superficial things like a break room or thirsty Thursdays. Standardize processes and stick to them rather than breaking them just to take on a new customer or not documenting any processes at all.

I have been working at Eze Castle Integration full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of great engineers to work with and you will learn IT quickly if that is what you're in to

    Cons

    - Distrustful. i.e ECI is encouraging employees to leave positive reviews, after all the negative reviews from former employees
    - Management will not have your back and will throw you under the bus to save face
    - Salary & benefits are not competitive
    - No real growth unless you are an engineer
    - They pile so much work on to you because of the turnover, yet they give you no credit and if you mess up you will hear about it non-stop.
    - Old boys club with micro managers and incredibly bureaucratic system you have to work within
    - High Turnover because of no work life balance, especially for engineers
    - Clients are difficult & entitled - you should have a tough skin for the job

    Advice to Management

The company is stale and not cool. If you're going to be so cheap you should at least have other perks instead of "Beer Thursday" as your selling factor.

    Eze Castle Integration Response

Feb 28, 2017 – Vice President, Human Resources

I am sorry for your poor experience while at ECI. ECI is much more than a company, it is a family and while families grow and change, so do our expectations. As we continue to grow, from the top... More
