    Pros

    - Being surrounded by people who will help you develop your tech skills and grow as an engineer.
    - If you're motivated you can move up but that means someone hire than you needs to get fired.

    Cons

    - Compensation is pretty low. Your "increase in pay" when going from Help Desk to Engineering is the fact that they pay you for lunch...
    - Health insurance took a gigantic nosedive when they switched from Cigna to BCBS.
    - PTO is laughable.
    - You will work like a dog and no one will notice. The minute you mess up once you have 5 people telling you all about it.
    - Low compensation and unfair treatment of employees leads to high turnover. Work there 6 months and you'll see different faces coming and going.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time listening to your rank and file. Stop taking on bigger and bigger clients without hiring more staff.

Thank you for your time. This seems to be based upon old and not thorough information. The helpdesk to system engineer hours and roles have been aligned, ECI pays 85% of medical insurance premiums ... More

    Pros

I have been a full time employee with ECI for nearly a year and a half and it is definitely a place that I could see myself staying at long-term. If you're invested in your position, then there is definitely room to grow, as many of the employees in management roles have been with the company long-term and have been able to move their way up. Additionally, it seems that there is a lot of lateral mobility as well and managers encourage their employees to gain exposure in other departments.

Additionally, there is a good work-life balance with generous paid time off benefits.

    Cons

So far my time at ECI has been very positive so I don't have any downsides that are worth mentioning.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your employees and doing what you are doing!

    Pros

    Some good people work here

    Cons

Clients will make you insane. Salary is average, yearly raises are comical. There is no real concern about A-players leaving; it's as if managers know what bothers their staff but don't care to do anything about it. No career advancement.

I have been working at Eze Castle Integration (More than a year)

    Pros

*Lots of over-time; I made $73,000 last year
*Always someone available to assist even if it's 3AM
*Community is fun; Definitely hit the bar with the gang

    Cons

There aren't many cons because although you are expected to participate in overtime projects you are compensated for it at 1.5x and 2x for holidays. Ticket notes can be annoying but save you from embarrassment if you mess up because at the very least someone can pick up from where you left off

    Advice to Management

Open up midlevel engineer status back up. More beer in the freezer would be nice too

I have been working at Eze Castle Integration full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

While I can't speak to much outside of my own team and manager, I can say that it's a place where you are fully supported by your team and management. If something goes wrong with a client and they know you did the right thing, they will defend you. If you get mistreated by clients, they will confront the client about it. The work environment is very open and there is constant communication between the team and management.

    Cons

While the day-to-day is great, in my 6+ months there so far, I haven't felt like there's much assistance with planning your professional development. HR has implemented a program for this, but I haven't seen any support by management. This is a little disappointing since I do plan on moving up in this organization.

    Advice to Management

The communication and open environment makes for the most positive experience I've ever had. This is a true team, with recognition for good work. Keep it up.

I worked at Eze Castle Integration full-time

    Pros

Co-workers. Really not much else. I wish there were more, but the people who work there are great.

    Cons

Where to begin? Everything is a convoluted manual process involving different departments and 5 different ideals about how it should work. Management is not listening to it's employee's advice on how to fix what is beyond broken. You are treated like a shift worker for a shift that never ends. You are responsible for all the clients' problems and cannot do anything about it.

    Advice to Management

Fix your broken processes and let the people actually involved in the work dictate direction. You are disconnected from reality.

I have been working at Eze Castle Integration full-time

    Pros

Eze castle integration is a good place to work if you are passionate about technology. There are interesting things to learn and the clients are always looking for individuals to own solutions.

If you are early in your career and looking for work it'll be a good place to test your mettle and learn. The cream rises to the top at ECI. If you're good, smart and can communicate well with clients you'll be trusted with more interesting work.

    Cons

If you are established in your career I recommend looking elsewhere. Senior resources typically burn out after 2-3 years because there is no limit to the work and clients are very demanding. Opportunity for advancement beyond a field engineer is non existent. This is very typical of IT consulting shops. ECI is not an exception.

The cream rises to the top but it doesn't have far to go. There is low turnover in the non client-facing teams so new positions are few and far between. The churn rate on client facing teams is much higher so if you have any talent you'll most likely stay there.

You'll learn a lot but you'll struggle to make sense of the dysfunction at the same time. Process are still in the 2000 era where everything is done manually. Procedures have no bearing on reality and are regularly ignored. When they are updated, they are edited with no announcement for the change but you will be held responsible for not having followed them.

Your time management skills will be tested and stretched to the limit. Clients expect to have a senior resource available to discuss their ideas as they are still forming them.

Don't count on Training. There's a healthy training regimen but clients come first. Even if you have the time, stress levels are always high and focusing is difficult.

The work life balance is non existent you don't get to have a home life and you can't succeed with the the more demanding clients if you plan to focus on anything other than work.

    Advice to Management

    - Recognize that people are stagnating at their jobs and can't continue to serve the same role for years
    - reduce the work load put upon employees by enforcing procedures
    - successfully manage client engagement and expectations
    - cut the mandatory 10 hour work day for all employees
    - do something more meaningful for the employees than astroturfing glassdoor like actively looking for ways to identify and reduce sources of work related stress
