I have been working at Eze Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

the culture is relaxed and work-life balance is usually good. exec management tries to instill the corporate values and strategic plan relatively often. work can be interesting and challenging if you like the fintech and trading world. company seems to be working towards an ipo relatively soon once products are integrated and new products deemed solid enough.

    Cons

competitors are getting stronger with offerings. exec management seems transparent with plans, too transparent sometimes with ones that impact us staff. i've noticed a lot of more senior level directors leaving or just disappearing lately. concerning as many of these people were hands on doing good work and are replaced by more management only leaders. the company seems to be centralizing around just a couple core locations now being boston and india.

    Advice to Management

grow existing staff, don't drive them out or go external so immediately. need more solid hr processes and staff coverage.

    Pros

    Amazing people at the company
Direct managers listen and care about their teams

    Cons

Leadership (execs) fail to understand what differentiates the company from competitors (service).

    Terribly communication from the top.

In ability to adjust on the fly when things go very poorly.

Lack of listening to client needs.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to your employees and clients. You can grow and scale the company with out gutting what the company is and moving all the jobs to India.

I have been working at Eze Software full-time

    Pros

    -- co-workers
-- tiny remnants of the old culture
    -- learning the industry

    Cons

-- hasn't been the same since long time CEO left (Tom G back in 2014). Latest, brand new CEO is a nice guy but lacks charisma to lead.
-- Last CEO (Pete S) and new CEO (Jeff S) are too data and cost driven. We've lost touch with customers, what they want, and what employees want.

    Advice to Management

I'm not saying go back in time but you've abandoned the lessons that made this company great for so many years (people, culture, client-focused).

I have been working at Eze Software full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Great benefits
    - Very generous parent company (owned by TPG Private Equity) invests a lot in growth

    Cons

    - Eze Software has invested tens of millions in the new product offering. Typically, this would be a very good thing. The problem is they built the new product without understanding what the customer needs. Therefore, very few customers have migrated to the new platform and even fewer like it.
    - TPG will likely notice this very soon and shake up the leadership ranks (maybe this is a pro)
    - Shutting down development in Alpharetta, London and de-emphasizing Chicago. Moving most development to India.
    - Removed most of the RealTick sales and product teams and refocused its development teams to the new, poorly conceived trading platform (IMS). As such, RealTick revenue has gone down significantly.

    Advice to Management

    - TPG Equity, find new leadership or bring back departed talent before your investment withers
